Have a question about overstuffing keywords

Hi there

Im a noob and have been doing a TON of reading over the past 3 days and one interesting article i came across warned about creating multiple pages on one blog that have the same keywords.

I assumed that on our 'niche' blog we should have as many pages of content as possible (lots of blog posts)......that would mean that some of the posts would probably end up with the same keywords.

Is this a bad thing> Should i only be setting up these blogs with 8-10 posts max that have a different long tail keyword as the focus?

Keyword stuffing is blackhat technique or in simple words dont use same keyword in one post again and again. You are free to target long tails in other articles and find other blog in your niche to get idea.

This is a issue when two articles on same blog have lot of similar content. You need not worry if those two articles have same 4-5 keywords mentioned in them.

If your pages have content for the user not just for seo, and the articles don't copy each other, then there may be overlapping keywords. Tho I'd create separate pages for separate groups of keywords to target and rank.

Having the same keywords isn't a huge problem as such, but the pages may end up competing with each other (page cannibalism). Although ideally you'd want less pages with each targeting a specific group of keywords.

If you visit his website, Brian Dean has a good recent article about how he helped someone's blog immediately increase rank performance just by cutting down 100s of pages into 10~ main pages with high copy volume and quality content, each targeted with a few focus keywords. I'd assume you can also add other long-tail keywords with supporting content too.

As don chino has stated, I think most importantly make sure each page/post provides value and is 100% unique which would ultimately mean they can share some keywords but each should have their own main one.

Limit the number of posts that you have for similar long-tail keywords. Don't overstuff keywords in too many articles. 8-10 posts is acceptable, but make sure that your pages don't go against each other in the rankings. -Micah

Keyword density is the key factor google looks at.
You can use keyword in smart way like LSI and long chain keywords.
