Is mining still profitable these days , i am reading a lot of posts on facebook about difficulty rate increasing .

Short answer, no.

Long answer, still mainly no, but with proper equipment and initial capitalization... possibly.

Yeah that's what i think but still people are doing it , there must be somehow any profits !

Honestly, without proper mining equipment... you need to either have an awesome site that visitors stay on for awhile to mine with coinhive for you... or maybe start a pool/faucet with good marketing.

Anyway to let my visitors mine for me?

nope, i can't even breakeven for the mining rigs that i bought. The chinese are turning mining in a monopoly.

Coinhive is your best bet, But even with that you would still make more with popads

Mining can be quite profitable, but its not that simple to execute. An example - I found a new coin at the very beginning (few days after the launch) - hired rigs (I had like 20% of the total hash rate in the network), mined the shit out of that for 2 days, sold all coins next day - quick 10x profit. But of course there is a risk - this coins come and go, you can mine and have useless coins that no one will ever buy. So to summarize - the big bucks are in new coins, and with proper selection you can make a shitload of money. The hardest part is to find the good ones..

Its only still profitable if you already have the equipment and your only expense is electricity.

Getting to ROI on new equipment at current hardware prices vs. profitability is very unlikely.

its profitable with non expensive electricity. also the best one is javascript miners. coinhive and others.

Sure is, if you're a mining rig manufacturer and you build the mining equipment and then use the new hashing power to mine to new difficulties before selling the rigs to miners overseas. This has been going on for many years, ever since ASICS and such went into use. Sometimes the manufacturers even delay your purchases after you order them, I presume, just to mine more bitcoins before they send you something you likely won't make your ROI on.

New coins I could see being profitable, but that's a gamble of course, as there's new coins all the time and most suck.

It also depends on your long term outlook. If you think crypto prices will appreciate over the next year then you can still make a nice profit from mining good coins and hodling at current limited profitability.

Mining some of the newer coins could definitely be worth a shot - you could make major bank if you choose the right coins.

If you infect pc with your miner ;)
Come on guys thats blackhatworld forum

If mining is not profitable why people keep buying gpu? profits depend on lot of factors

1) Price of gpu(As mining is profitable online sellers ,retailers all have increased the price of gpu ,rx 56 vega was around 25,000 (around $350-400) couple of months ago now its selling for $1200 ,if you buy gpu for normal price you are already in profit ,check the benchmark for every gpu, certain cards work good with certain algos

2)Electricity cost,if your electricity cost is more than the income you already in the loss

3)Which coin to mine-Most of people go behind the crowd ,if you do so you will end up in loss ,do a little research on the coin and what's the roadmap.

4)Maintenance -This is the most important part is to constantly keep an eye on the rig and maintain the temp and do software tweaks

As a Crypto noob when it comes to real hardware mining this what i know i'm not an expert ,hope this helps
