[IDEA] A structure with a blog that links it all

Hi,
Since I'm starting my dropshipping store( no Wifi this month) and planning to start an another one I had an idea.
It would be good to start writing a blog? A blog that is not in a specified niche but it will spread in every possible niche staying in one only big niche, i don't know if I was clear but I hope it will.
My plan is to write and build this blog in the time using it as a blog, as an affiliate site and an authority page to link to my future stores.
My only concern is: i plan to target low competition long tail keywords, starting with the same question, but since it's a site targeting many many things and not only one niche.
I will have troubke ranking each page or it will be just like any other site?

Sorry for the newbie question, what's an brand anchor? The blog is going to be in a niche like:What does it mean CPA? WHat does it mean Blogging? What does it mean Investing?
Something like that.

Not exactly. He said to make a small blog revolving around one small niche. Then build brand anchored backlinks to the home page. And after that do your seo for the articles
