Retirement plan with 3000$ on hands?

In a few years I'm going to retire and money can become an issue for me. Thats why I'm here.

I've been reading this thread extensively for the past few weeks. For the last two days I've been reading topics that go back to 2013-2009 and I clearly see that bulk part of info there is outdated, so I decided to pause my reading and ask for direction with a lot of questions already in mind

First and for most, How hard (or easy) it is to start next year with nice passive daily income of 10$ or more? If I give it 3000$ right now plus 5h / week of my time. Can't really allocate more time than that.

What are my skills? Well I can grow some sweet potatoes and raise a cow, other than that I know how to read online forums, but don't worry I'm a tech savvy guy for my age and definitely can follow any instructional DIY video from Youtube. I'm talking about setting website with WP and stuff - shouldn't be a problem.
As you can probably tell I'm a good writer, but could probably spin some words and rewrite good article or two.

What are my pans at the moment?

I want to assure myself that I can passively make those 10 dollars and don't lose my investments. With condition that I don't want to scam people, sell shady stuff life fat burners and gamble advertisements.
I don't know first thing about Instagram, Tweeter, and all those things, and I want to keep it this way.

I would prefer run a blog about tomatoes, greenhouses, and all that beauty as one of my projects.
Because I wan't to diversify things a little I can manage more than one blog.

I general, Other than scams and social media I'm open to almost anything.
Tell me, where do I stand with my goals on a scale from 1 been extremely easy to 10 been extremely hard. If it's close to 1 i'll give it a shot

I would love to build small PBN network because it sounds fun and promote heck out of tomatoes' seeds and red wigglers

Monetizing with adSense is still a thing? Create a 100+ page niche site about camping gear or best mountain bikes and make it happen?

before embarking on a writing career get yourself grammarly if you haven't done so already, it will be worth the investment especially if you want to apply to adsense

Honestly, you shouldn't be looking into investing your money towards a PBN, that will be a huge money pit because a PBN is not for the faint hearted.

Definetly possible if you know what you are doing. I havent read all the stuff that you have written but you can definetly create 1 or more site which can be monetized with aff or adsense and can fetch some reasonable income and you scale it by reinvesting profits on new projects.

You can do alot with your budget but only if you spend it wisely.

He needs to invest into a Grammarly Premium subscription ASAP and pump out at least 250k words in 6 months. That would be a better investment, as for the rest of the $2860(minus Grammarly Pro annual subscription) should be saved or invested into a yearly hosting.

@Derwego, you don't need a lot of money, heck you just need maximum 10% of your $3000 to start that will last you for a whole years of expenses.

What you need is to start writing every SINGLE day and start pumping words like a crazy man. Your site/blog needs to be filled with great, regular , high quality content. Don't worry about investments, and that $10 dollar a day thingy. You will do more than that if you start doing what I've described above. In other words, you need sweat equity. There is no shortcut with money, especially if you are new to this world and have no idea what to do. Therefore, you will have to put every single ounce of sweat equity into this, money won't get you faster there because you will have no idea how to spend it.

Is it going to be a gardening blog? You have to think of other ways to monitize it besides adsense, take a look at affiliate programs to see if there's anything that aligns with your values that you'd like to promote. You can also create your own product perhaps a gardening e-book or t-shirts with your logo on them.

Social media is vital for your survival online if you're gonna be running a blog - you have to think about how you're gonna drive traffic. SEO alone is not enough, you need atleast a Facebook page so you can run ads and your followers can be updated on what you're doing. If people have to visit your blog to see what you're up to then they'll soon forget about you. Social media presence also gives you credibility.

I don't know much about the topic but you really have to test your idea to see if there's a demand for it. Do you have competitors? Find out what they're doing. Make a plan - figure out what you're going to sell and how to make it sustainable. It sounds like it would be a seasonal type of business so your income may slow down during winter months.

When it comes to making money online, you always want as many income streams as possible so if you don't want to do affiliate marketing, consider other businesses such as dropshipping, Amazon FBA, Merch by Amazon, etc.

Thanks for your input, but whats wring with PBNs? You think I'll be banned by Google? I like the idea of making my own WEB. From what I've read this far It could be done safely.

I have no experience with PBN's and that's why I never commented on it. I just don't think SEO alone is enough to drive traffic cause what if people are not searching for your content? With a Facebook page, you can engage with your audience and figure out what they need for future sales. Once you've built a community then it will be a lot easier to sell to them.

I would enjoy selling Bill O'Reilly's books or to promote work of any other sane man. Like Glenn Beck and others, but I don't think those guys really need me as a promoter.

Welcome to the forum. I hope you find what you are looking for. I'm sure that with certain mentions in your post you are trying to make some sort of a point as to your personal beliefs but as a friendly reminder anything political is not allowed on BHW.

I mentioned in OP I read few threads on PBNs (I'm reading this forum for almost 2 weeks now) and I don't recall anything hard about PBNs. I will not link them all in a giant circle. I'm sure I can spread my domains across several IPs according to guides and common sense.
Could you please tell me what's so dangerous about those PBNs?

With a Facebook page, you can engage with your audience and figure out what they need for future sales. Once you've built a community then it will be a lot easier to sell to them.

I probably messed up with terminology a bit. I'm not superstar, and I don't want that kind of blog. I meant just a website. Almost any niche will do for me. But Im no writer. I would rather pay 10$ for decent article than spend my whole day crafting words. My sites won't make me a superstar so I don't really think someone on FB would care if I pos. Google is the main and only source of traffic I plan on.

There are tons of domains endings out there, thing like .guru .school yada yada
How do those stand compare to .com .net and .org? I don't see many new post on a subject old posts though primarily recommend .com .net .org

And what about link spamming software? The type of software that spams small blogs, open boards and catalogs.

I'm all for affiliate, amazon affiliate and every thing that is out there. I do prefer diversify risks when it's possible.

Please in order for me to grasp it better. Pease asses your suggestions on a scale from 1 (easy) to 10 (hard).

I probably messed something up if you got impression that I'm interesting in writhing anything. Writing is a big pain in my but and I will happily outsource this part of business.
Writing is not my forte, I'm definitely no Shakespeare.

You don't have to be a "superstar" to be on Facebook, it's about developing your personal brand and building a following - think about it practically, how are people going to find your blog? Through Google? Ok, how often are they going to be Googling your stuff and even then, will that convert them into customers? With Facebook your followers will see your posts all the time and this will create a sense of familiarity and trust.

Remember that internet user's have a short attention span, people are being bombarded with thousands of messages on a daily basis so why should they read your blog and not your competitors?. The internet will not adapt to your way of doing things, you will have to adapt to the internet. If you want to make money, figure out what you're going to sell, how you're going to sell it and if there's no demand for your product/service, find something else to blog about.

I'm personally not interested in gardening so I really cannot give it a rating on how easy/difficult it will be. Is there someone out there who is doing what you want to do? If so, go through their work to see what strategies they are using and if people are engaged with the content. It's really about trial and error in IM so just give your idea shot and see how it goes!

5 hours / week is not a lot of time..
That doesn't even come out to be an hour a day.
You'll need a lot more time than that especially if you're just starting out.

When I was short on time due to my job I went with dropshipping.
It took me a few days to set up the store but after that I just focused on my ads and testing new products.
Most of this was done from my mobile phone when I was traveling to work/during breaks.

Once you find that winning product you can be making a nice amount of cash for months without really doing anything just scaling the ads accordingly.
However, it does take a bit of cash upfront to learn the ins and outs of facebook ads.

I say this with no mean to offend you or demean you but you shouldn't take IM so lightly. IM is not that easy that you'll work just 5hrs/ per day and sprinkle some money and you'll have your money generating machine, be it just $10 per day. You gotta work more, you gotta work hard, investment is the least of your problem, $50 is enough to get a domain, hosting and start pumping content about gardening or what you know about.

I think your best bet is to start an affiliate blog, don't even buy grammarly, use their free version and test your content in batches. Save money where you can, when you can and spend when you have to. Within Your $10 per day dream can be achieved within 6 months or less (way less) if you do this correctly.

I do have 9 - 5 job that pays my bills. So, I don't really have time for content creation.
And Gardening was just an example. There are huge number of amazing gardening/ homestead blogs and youtube channels.
I am up to anything, any niche, unless it's a scam.

You seem to use farming terminology and terms few times in your words so I guess it was a fair assumption to think that you know your stuff and that's the sole reason I advise to go with that niche. With $3,000 You can even get fair priced content. All you need to do is take action. If you've read as much as you say, I'm sure you know what I'm talking about.
