Add schema also. Citations are super important. Use a service such as BrightLocal to outsource citations.
You'll want to make sure your site is silo and that you have a page for each location you serve and a page for every service you offer.

Everything above and then press releases with the keywords and NAP details. Depending on the amount of the population in that location you are targeting will depend on how well/quickly it works.

I have done everything of this to my business and still does not work and I can't reach the top 3 on Google places. In fact I even lost some positions and when I found that businesss who are in the top 3 haven't done anything of this....

You know, I saw sites promoted by if I may put it so "lower quality" methods to climb and climb and climb, and when they get to the top, they will hit 40 places. Sometimes right away. Sometimes they get an exception, sometimes they get manual action.
What I mean to say is if you are at the top of competitive results, you can bet that Google will carefully review your site.
This can mean a deeper algorithmic analysis of your site or even a manual check. Google has tens of thousands of manual reviewers who have the quality of their results. Even today, I am cautious about all the sudden appearances at the top of the results, especially with a better page.

Yes it will but you'll want to be building slightly different links to regular organic seo. Business citations are key and if you can get local backlinks then even better.

They offer built in tools that make sure every page on the website has H1, page description, keywords, page name, path etc. And the best part is that you add the name of the page and all the rest are filled with the same name. Plus you can add other keywords and edit the existing if you want to. My site is built there and I can always be sure that I have all on page SEO points thicked.
