Just curious what everyone's process for outreach looks like:

Do you do it yourself, or do you outsource it (assistant, agency or freelancer)?
Do you use automation tools to help your outreach like Ninja Outreach or Pitchbox?

What are some tips for other aspiring link builders when it comes to outreach in your opinion?
Do you warm up the target prospect on either their blog with blog-commenting or on their social media channels?

- People aren't dumb. They know you're reaching out to them for a link and not because you care about their audience. Be straightforward, that works very well.
- No. As I said, just be straightforward; Here's what I have to offer (money, well-written article etc..) and here's what I'm expecting (A link in author bio, a link within the article etc..)

I outsource some - more to get real sites with some traffic and decent metrics and I do some manually myself - more to get very well targeted posts- for that I find manual outreach is better and keeping it very targeted the response rate is Hugh enough go to make it unnecessary to use automated methods.

I’ve had high bloggers who have shared client reviews etc going back years, blogger gets something, client looks good and everyone’s happy

I love the straightforward thing. I hate it when people beat around the bush when all they care about its their business. I feel it's a bit dishonest, just get to the point already!

That's how 95% of bloggers/IM feel about the situation as well. Don't waste your time trying to build a relationship, they don't give a fuck about you or your website. Show them the money and they'll be listening.

-How many times do you email a site before you give up?
-When do you offer a guestographic as opposed to a guest-post vs a sponsored post?

1) Max 2 times because I don't want blogger to get annoyed and write something about me in his community
2) Mostly blogger go for Guest Post (Sponsored post not good for your Website and most bloggers don't go for Guestographic outreach)

Personalize, essential detail next to being straightforward. noone reads mails starting with "Dear Webmaster". Give them the impression you actually took some time to look at the site, maybe pick an example post you like so they get an impression what you want.
