RDP - Who and How?

Hi,
Remote Desktop Protocols (RDP) are available everywhere in the market including big companies like Amazon and Microsoft. However, they're exactly the same. Who creates them and how are they created?

Technically there’s only one Remote Desktop protocol - the one that runs over port 3389

If you are talking about the servers that you can buy and connect to via rdp then yes, there’s loads of providers and whilst they vary in resource provision and network speed, yes they’re roughly the same.

How are they created? Well, they’re either physical servers or they’re virtual instances running on physical services.

Thanks a lot for response. When it comes to detailed response regarding creating and sharing this service. May I get some more details? How do they manage and what type of physical setups they made. How they can offer various servers e.g from Netherlands, Germany and USA etc on the same website.

The bigger providers have a presence in each of those countries.

Smaller providers probably rent servers in each of those countries and then sell virtual instances accordingly.
