Option 1:

A competitor of mine has a PBN of 20 websites. They are on very different niches and all have a "link page" or "partners page" where all 20 websites of the PBNs are listed. About 4-5 of these 20 links are money sites, the rest are just PBN sites. And they are all linking to each other through this "link page" that all of them except the money sites have. It is a simple page with 20 links, perfect match anchos and no other text.

Option 2:

Building my PBN as a series of blogs in my niche, posting stuff relevant to my niche and adding a link at one point in one of the articles.

Which of these options would you chose ? The second option looks better because it's niche-specific, but the first option makes you be more all-over-the-place, more disguised.

How big is the difference in power between the two ?

I am curious on PBN's also and want to know which is the best option.

Option 2 is best.
It is ill advised to interlink your PBNs. It is ill advised to link all your money sites from the same PBNs. It is a waste of resources to not make your PBNs focused and highly relevant.

The way your wording it, it seems like this guy didn't bother hiding any footprints and you can report him :D hahaha.

Its great to build a PBN. Just 1 link linking to your money site. You can even split it 2 links to 2 money sites. Just know the more links, the more link juice your dividing among those sites.

Im new to PBN but have just finished 10 and already seeing the gains.

Good luck!

I am quite surprised too that he has build the PBN like that. He also has them on the same IPs. He has 10 on one IP, 5 on another and 5 on a third one. And yet, he has not been deindexed by google and is continuing to build his PBN like that even now in 2018. And this is quite strange and going against what people say around here. I can send his PM with his PBN for better analysis to those who want to check it.

Imagine you have 10 blogs, real blogs, with good content. You link from these blogs to your money site. Do you think google will ban your money site just beacuse they are sit on the same IP?

The Second One option is powerful.
