Web 2.0 Blog Network Clarification

There are so many different information sources regarding these blog networks and a lot of them contradict each other. So anyway....if you really smart people out there could answer a couple questions for me that would be awesome.

1. When building a WBN what are the most important platforms to include? Obviously Tumblr, what else?
2. Is it true that Weebly doesnt give you backlinks unless you pay for it?
3. How much of an advantage are expired domains compared to just starting a new wordpress or weebly blog?
4. How many tier 1 and tier 2 blogs would you recommend to have an impact on rankings? Assuming you can build some solid links and make the PA fairly high.
5. What is your biggest tip and biggest mistake you would tell a newbie regarding WBN?

1. Tumblr, Weebly, Overblog. That is if you want to go after expired ones. There are some other platforms that allow re-registration but there isn't too many expired web 2.0s to register and might not be worth the effort at all. It's up to you.
2. No, you don't have to pay for anything to get d0follow link
3. Day and night difference. I wouldn't bother with fresh ones at all. Also, it's not "domains", it's "web 2.0s", do not mix apples and oranges.
4. No need to bother with any tier 2. Get expired ones and your tier 2 is already in place. Depending on keyword competition, 10 - 20 should show some results if you do your job right. 5. Don't cut corners and be patient.

5. Let the blogs sit for a while before posting your links. Post some content on them and make sure they get indexed.
Also keep your link velocity low and constant. You are better off building 1 link per day, than 100 in 3 days and then nothing.

Age does not matter. Only thing where age matters is how long content has been indexed in Google. Nothing else. Google doesn't give a fuck when was the domain or web 2.0 registered for the first time. I really want to know the source of this bullshit, because every newbie comes up with it and it's getting ridiculous.

It probably comes from people talking about expired domains. One thing they always say is how old the domain is. They infer that older is better.

Domain age makes absolutely no difference in any way, just as I stated above.
