Low instagram engangement rate (likes)

Hello community. To start with, I'm new on instagram. I am growing instagram account by follow/unfollow method (100% manual, no bots, etc). Engagement rate was about 10%+ (which I think is very normal) , but now likes growing very slowly and hardly reaches 10% (usually stops at 5-6%). Photos is same quality, same style, etc. What's happened?

Also if I make story, only small amount of people sees it. (In my opinion, story views should be at least 30-50% of page followers, because it "easier" to see story than to like post, may I am not right??)

As I have mentioned, growing strategy is absolutely manual follow/unfollow method, no temporary bans or blocks on this account also.

I guest maybe people don't see my posts because most of them have thousands of "Followings"??

Your message is good but did you even read his question ?

OP, I experienced the same thing on some accounts, I'm hoping the drop in engagement is temporary or maybe instagram is cracking down on botting users.

because your post are not popular, as soon people stop like you- they will not longer see your posts read IG policies no meter if is your follower anymore or not, i getting likes and views without followers at all on beginning, so work on Hashtags force people share ur staff

Apologies for that. I was just trying to share my advice on how to grow your engagement since you are experiencing a low one. To answer your question, it seems that many Instagram users are experiencing a drop in their engagement right now. They might have a new update on their algorithm.

When you follow/unfollow make sure you are targeting people who are interested in your niche. For example I have a cars page, I’ll only follow people who are interested in cars (by going to other car pages, checking their engagement etc)
When you follow random people who most likely aren’t interested in your niche, the engagement is going to be low accordingly.

I'm doing exacly the same as you have said Same cars niche. How about your engagement rate?

You simply wont get 10% unless you do alot of extra stuff. Instagram limits heavily how much people will see your stuff unless it is viral from the first half hour or so. Even huge accounts only have 6-7% engagement.
Plus people simply don't like as often these days. They just follow in order to see your stuff. They could care less if they like or not. And always wait 24 hours to check stats regardless of what anyone else says. People live in different time zones, comparing stats at 4 hours is stupid.

im receiving 4-4.5k average likes on a 20k account. its a babes account though. i dont know if its deiffernt for this niche. But it seems more then standard.

Based on my personal experience, i also begin with low engagement. But from time to time, as i see it, it is getting better because of my content of post. Post interesting stuff that suits your targeted followers, they will like what they saw and it will up your likes for story too. Work on your hashtags too!

By the way, I have noticed that engagement is much higher while doing follow/unfollow method. If I stop it for one day and only upload photo without following others, this photo will get less likes. I think that will be my thread's answer.

I think it’s because you use follow/unfollow. It’s not a great method to gain quality engaged followers, just pumps your numbers. Are you automating likes etc? You should try to engage with your existing followers and see if you get some love back.

How did you get your followers. Most big babes account are always filled with fake followers

What I'm doing is just follow/unfollow. No automating likes etc. Why this method is not good? Real people just get notified that I have followed them and they just follow back. In this way they just discover my page, isn't it?
