I am Alex, a 25-year-old male going through a life crisis. I can't stand the factory work anymore and want to spread my art to the world! I have been programming and drawing as hobbies since my childhood and it's time for me to finally pursue a passion instead of $ $!

I came across BHW a couple years ago and learned a lot of things I did not really apply. Now I am back to kickstart my freelancing career and fuel my game making side-gig.

I hope you didn't quite your job though because freelancing is not easy at all. A lot of competition, you need to build a brand/name around yourself etc. Better to combine job and dream first.

I literally started this venture at one point - take orders, hire artists to complete, take a commission. Still have that domain. Might revisit that at some point.

Is that really a thing? I'm ready to draw anything at first.You got to start somewhere. You become better at something by doing it a lot. That would be a great way for me to perfect my knowledge and skills regarding human anatomy. Got to see everything in a positive way!

I ended up abandoning it (for the most part) before getting too deep into it. Didn't get far enough to say anything notable besides the same general tips that I'd have for any other niche.

Don't be too optimistic because everything might not go the way you want but if you stick with it even during the tough of times I bet you-you will succeed.

Welcome to the forum buddy. As others have said, freelancing is by no means easy - it takes so much work and often you will end up wishing that you was back in a 9-5 job - no responsibility, no where near as much hard work - but having said that, if you can stick it out then there are also amazing advantages that you will never get from a 9-5 job and when you have those advantages you almost can't beleive that everyone is not quiting their 9-5 and becoming a freelancer / entrepreneur / internet marketer.

As said above, please don't give up your day job but just actively start working torwards what you want - start earning some money on the side, work twice as hard if you have to and eventually you will get into a position where you can safely leave your job, then you'll be flying.
