Is it possible to use a pc as smtp server?

Hi can I install a smtp server on pc and use it to send 100k emails is that possible if not why?

Why vps?all hosts don't gives you email ports opened that's I'm thinking why not using it on my own pc

True, they might not allow SMTP traffic through, depends on the hosting.
You could host it in Azure or AWS?
If you’re not fussed about performance then run it on your home PC
