They are called "content lockers". A banner automatically pops up on the page or when you click something. You will have to complete an offer or two to unlock content/download, even if there isn't actually a download there. The most popular content locker site on BHW is OGADS. They can pay pretty well

As I understand it, he wants to create a page complete with banners. So without content, only banners. The compensation should take place per impression (not click or lead). Although the remuneration is low, he hopes to take enough banners enough anyway. I do not think you will be paid because your traffic will not convert.

Yes, this is it basically.
I cannot show a print screen because almost all examples are from XXX websites. I don't know if such content is allowed here.
If you go to any torrent website and choose one from the XXX category you will find links to printscreens of the movie. Click on the link and you will get to a website with the image as well as a million banners.
If people are doing this it must mean they are earning money on it. Else they simply wouldn't do it. The question is how much they make... Hmmm...

As you can see the page has 5 ads in total. Let's say he's earning $1 per 1,000 views. That means he's earning around $5 per 1,000 views. That's quite a lot actually.

It's not as easy as it sounds. Those places all have shitty fill rates so you would need a daisy chain of networks to fill most of the impressions. they'll pay you $1 for 1k impressions, but they will only fill 10% of your traffic, and that would be the top of your chain, so you would need 9 other networks that pay $1 per 1k impressions that all allow placing house ads which is a default ad if they don't have one to serve, which would be the next one down the line. This sort of setup is a pain in the ass to find enough fill, and what i describe is a single banner, not 5.

Damn, I had this idea I thought was awesome for optimizing my earnings...
Youtube (PPV) -> Linking page (PPV) -> Content locker
The linking page was supposed to be a "bridge" with basically 5 ads and a "continue to file" button. But not worth it if it's a pain in the ass...
