The fastest way to increase average review is to buy good reviews. Everybody is doing that right now. You can also create your own positive reviews. Asking for positive reviews from your clients can be a great help for your business too. Contact the people who you had a business with to leave a review.

As @Snoop Dawg said, rank parasites. Rank content on other domains (i.e., parasite pages) to push down and/or drown out the negative content. If possible, file takedown requests for negative content. Wrote about this in more detail here:

I was wondering why so many people were saying to buy fake reviews, then I realized that this wasn't in the ORM section!
Now that you're in the right section, you won't find many people suggesting fake reviews I'm sure.
As for suppression, which is what most of us do, you can create great content and publish it on great sites. Once you publish the content you need to start pushing it up with social media and link building/SEO. Keep repeating that strategy.
You can also build out a couple domains, a couple social media accounts, and other strategies like that. It's a simple concept, but often can be overwhelming if you don't do it everyday and don't have connections to high authority sites.

Track down the user then gather as much info on them as you can, take your time and build a complete dossier, if you are brave enough start cold calling them for questionnaires and use this to expand your knowledge, get family details mothers maiden name is gold, first pet and street name. If you can do this we can successfully steal there identity. If you manage to get all of this info, simply take over their primary email and begin licking them out of everything, social media bank the lot, as you would with anyone else.
If you do not manage the above just use the victim's interests to build a bespoke speakphishing campaign, one way of another you will own their ass.
Here is the twist, now you have successfully taken over the user's identity simply go and edit the review, simple as that!
For this to stick you are going to need to hijack and lock the user out of there phone too so just do the usual if you are not the same sex as the user ask your partner (a friend of the other gender is also fine if you gay) and get them to do the panic lost sim social engineering attack on the victims phone provider.
Once you have the phone you have won, all bank details are yours, be sure to switch 2 step authentication on then use the victim's cards to buy fake reviews, should cost you about $20
If the victim stars causing any issues or atempts to write another face review max out the credit cards, strait to bitcoin and over to the dark web to rub them out with some psycho wetwork specialist.

I always advise clients to do the exact opposite. By responding you're adding content to the site which Google loves. You're updating the time stamp on the site and in MOST cases, a well formed argument isn't going to change someone's mind.

I defintely agree with your suggestion for removing the bad review. Actually by regular posting we can make them send on second page or some time on last.
