Yea, increase them. lol

Now that they were kicked out from position one, why would they lower their fees? They're still PayPal, the favorite choice of most people when it comes to online payments. They aren't banished (yet). As long as people will be allowed to pay with PayPal, they will keep using it to pay and frankly i don't see this changing in the foreseeable future. eBay knows this very well hence they're keeping the door open. And if people will keep using it, sellers (especially on eBay) can't allow themselves the luxury to not accept it.

Hmmm. This whole deal could be meant to keep regulators at bay. Like claiming its payment system has competition or something like that.

The issue was that when eBay/Paypal was the same company investors like Carl Icahn was agitating to separate the company, since they saw Paypal as the high growth area while eBay was stagnant. They got eBay/Paypal to separate. Now the problem is that as long as eBay and Paypal are tied together, Paypal can not get into areas tat eBay competitors operate in, like being accepted as a payment option at Amazon. This may be more of Paypal ditching eBay than other way around so Paypal can get into those places.

eBay plans to cut PayPal completely in 2023 and replace it entirely with Adyen this is going to be very interesting.

It's going to be even more interesting to know if you can pay using PayPal through Adyen in 2023 on eBay like I can now on Etsy.

The big problem for a lot of people I see if adyin runs eBay payments like they do Etsy is that they make you enter a valid TAX ID and a bank account before you can withdraw money from selling there. That pretty much wipes out a lot of drop shipping schemes for any foreigner who doesn't have a US bank account. Also since adyin and eBay will share data does that mean if you use adyin payment system in other sites, does that mean it will flag your eBay account if your eBay info does not match info you give to other sites that adyin uses? I see many many potential pitfalls.
