does changing my @ remove my verification?

hey there - was associated with a band that is no longer together and we're verified on instagram..
if i were to change my instagram handle would my verification be removed?

i'm hoping not but i wouldn't be surprised if it IS the case.

You can reach out and get it re-added again afterwards, but this is to avoid verified account "Joe_Blogs", changing his username to "Kim_Kardashian_Real"

Fortunately I'm content with my Twitter name so I'm not worried about losing my Twitter verification - but my Instagram verification I am!
