Hey there.

I stumbled upon an site and they are giving away free SIM cards at the moment. Site is called GiffGaff, apparently they are new mobile network provider. I've ordered mine just yesterday, will let you know when/if I get it. Thought I should share this one with you, won't take more than a minute to order it.

Go to GiffGaff site.
Everything is self explanitory.
I've posted few screenshoots as a proof on imgur. You can see it here.

Let us know if you got yours.

Cheers!

Edit: Ok everytime I try to post link I get blocked as a spamer, it's becoming anoying. Enyone knows how can I solve this? Links are removed, but you can still just google GiffGaff and you will find it.

Mod edit: removed contact info.

How many sim are they giving out per person?

As I stated above, they are a UK network. They do not operate internationally.

This thread is a bit misleading and should possibly be removed as you cannot activate a giffgaff sim if you are not a UK resident.

MODs, can you take a look? @MisterF @davids355

I checked on the site and they do offer shipping of Sim cards to UK, Europe and rest of world.

Also checking online I found that you can use the sims abroad, but charges apply.

Let me know if you find anything that states otherwise.

I guess you can activate it with some random address and then use it for verifying various stuff. That's what I thought to do when I get card. Will let you know if it worked.

The sim number will expire after a year, unless you top it up. So in the end you have to pay for it, if you want to keep guaranteed access.

The question is, can you activate it without topping up? I'm sure most people will use these sims for occasional verifications, that's all. If it lasts an entire year, that's amazing.

I just got a reply from them.

Hi Bojan,

Your giffgaff SIM is in the post and should be with you very soon.

Delivery time

  • 3-5 business days - Europe
  • 5+ business day - Rest of the world
I guess it will be here next week, I'll update the thread when it arives.

Yes i only use vodafone sims, but i've always had them verify things, before i then decided if i wanted to keep them, and ultimately top them up.

i tried it but it say
There's an error with ordering your SIM - please try again later
i used uk vpn and fake address

Make sure you click "No thanks, I just want a free SIM" at the first step. Don't go with "Choose your plan" option. Then use your real address since your SIM will arive there.
