Im a small tire & wheel shop in CA,and would like to know what the average conversion rate for my industry is, as i did a google search and only "Auto" industry comes up, i don't know if this applies to me or not, as i only sell wheel and tires.

Currently the guy that runs the adwords campaign, has me with 2.06k clicks per month, averages about 200 conversions a month, budget is set at $3500.00. A conversion is done when someone goes to the website off the adwords link and asks for a price quote. I am not selling online and only want brand awareness (local customers only)

I would like to hear feedback please.

Well, you need some measure of success. For example, how many of those quote submissions turned into customers? How many were well targeted (actually Local).

You need some metrics to gauge success, then you know if it’s working for you.

Then you can think about trying to improve conversion rate.

You have to find all the longtail keywords for your main keyword then use Adwords keyword tool to check your cpc rate, for each keyword .

Then use buzzfeed and google trends to see the popualaty of the keywords .

There some afflicates giving good cash away for leads to get sales.

Example a Michelin wheel 195/55/17 for £30 new from online provider (( no fitting but free post .

Each sale earns the afflicate seller £4 to £9 which is very good ...

As you can imagine x4 new michline wheels £120 a set and free post is very cheap that online only ....

Each wheel in a shop £55 as you can see the savings are massive .

I don' no if your earn much as your not selling online and as soon as they see online sales deals , there go with the cheapest .....

Best thing you can do is just local SEO and promote your business in the local area ...

how many of those quote submissions turned into customers?
I absolutely do not have an exact number, some customers show me the email, others dont say nothing but i know they came because of the quote submission, based on the products they buy.

How many were well targeted
he has the campaign set for 25 miles.

You need to gather statistics about your ads to know how successful they are - perhaps tracking customers that click on your ad then click on the "Call now" button...etc.

Without getting solid numbers, you'll never know what impact your ads have.

How about adding to the quote form - mention ABC123 and receive 5% off when you come in.

That way you will have an exact figure. And you can see then if it’s working.

So are your customers spending more then $17.50p each .

What are the ppl from the 200 online customers sales price like ?

Good or bad (( roughly))

Out of the 3500 from adwords you spend your getting ,200 customers wanting to buy but each one needs to spend 17.50 to just break even , so you need to provide some grate deal that get you that cash ...

Your 17.50 down before starting.

What about the conversion rate? how does it look to you guys?

Are your telling us you ant sorted no printed discount paper or code for them to get recognised as an online customer.?

So what was the point of setting up adwords if you can not recognse your online sales from your shop customers bit silly.

Why didn't the person that setup the adwords promotion mention your need to setup a type of coupon to recogise online customers

The coupon will be sent to there email address this will give you more advertising power for long term customers .

Everyhink mentioned has all been done arseway upwards should of all been sorted before you use adwords ...

First of all I would like to ask you do you have a Google my business online account because that is free? Once you get that Google my business online then anyone who searches local can find you and most of the time you really won't have to spend any money and certainly not $3,500 which by the way you're getting ripped off in my opinion. I never was any good at using the regular AdWords but I am very familiar with Google my business and it is easy as pie to use.

The conversion rate is shit your getting 200 customers at 17.50 each .

That a lot of profit to find .

And your spending $3500 to get the 200 thu the door .

It very bad being honest .

Facebook campain would of made you a lot more cash .

Youtube channel would make a good amount cash easly.

Adwords is to expensive but it also good traffic fast results .

I would use your website as a way to get the customers in your shop free without any paying advertising .

Local SEO and social media will get you free what your getting know easly.

I also think that you are in a very good niche so good I even thought about doing it myself because I can see the profit potential but you really need to learn how to get business without getting ripped off.

Yes no way of tracking, i get most of my customers through word of mouth as business has been established for 15+ years, in addition i advertise a little on paper, and craigslist, letgo, offerup, forums, etc. I did setup tracking phone numbers for other channels of advertising but never thought about tracking adwords, as i blindly set it up.

Adwords i setup because i want brand awareness for the most part. My intention is to get more local customers.

Why didn't the person that setup the adwords promotion mention your need to setup a type of coupon to recogise online customers.

Guy never mentioned it.

The coupon will be sent to there email address this will give you more advertising power for long term customers .

Yup, you are correct!!!

Yes i have business set up, my biggest complain to the guy is that most of the clicks that are coming from the adwords campaign is from people already searching for our business name.
