Let it be known this is all a scam

Good, block them like a good little boy. Do us both a favour, more yourself when crypto collapses, so you need not live with the embarrassment.

"Every crypto thread" You may want to visit your doctors, you may be suffering from delusional hysteria. A quick glance through the crypto sub forum will prove this. Looks more like I commented on 25% of the first and second page of the forum, dwindling off into nothing. Get it checked out son.
You've upset the cryptokiddies now lol! Way too young to remember the internet bubble that burst, then everyone said it would never happen and it did. Each new generation believes something can only go up up up

blockchain technology is here to stay for the long run! there will be lots of up and downs, and the road is rocky, but the future is bright!

But yet we still have the internet and its stronger and more infused in our daily lives than ever before. Crypto is here to stay , period point blank I can guarantee you that. However 90% of the projects in the space ARE NOT. I believe the crypto space will go through a faze soon like the dot com era where simply having a great idea and fancy logo , white paper and smooth talking ceo isn't enough. Right now the mystic and excitement of the very idea of how many ways the blockchain can and will change the future is so powerful that these projects are not forced to put points on the board so to speak as of yet , simply having an awesome idea and great roadmap is enough to get people pumping your coin and fully believing in your project blindly but that wont last forever. I think within another year or two after the market has reached peak saturation and theres multiple coins trying to solve the same issues and offer the same utilities then we will enter the put up or shut up faze where many projects will go under or be abandoned for not completing the roadmap they presented in a timely manner without delay or not reaching steady achievements and brining the vision completely to life. And in a way that is needed so that some of these worthless projects can be pruned and investors can focus more on real projects that are actually following through. When I hear the "dotcom bubble" always being used as reference to a "bubble" it sort of annoys me because while I guess that may have technically been what it was , it was also extremely necessary and the strong ideas , companies & projects made it out just fine to become a part of your daily lives. Crypto will be no different.

Wow! I can't read all that, so assumed you're bored lol! The technology is here to stay, lots of confusion in what some of us mean on here

No wonder you hate crypto , from the sounds of it I cant imagine you ever have any time on your hands to actually read a whitepaper lol

Level 8 if Mariana's Web you can control everything from there BOOM CALLED IT

I don't hate it, just long winded replies on a forum when a short version would have been sufficient. Can't be bothered to read it on a mobile. So whatever you said we'll leave it there

You sure bout that? Seems like blockchain has multiple issues and better alternatives are already here.
But even if it is here to stay, so what? Why would this make any cryptocurrency project more viable or adds value to a coin(s)? HTTP protocol is probably here to stay too, does that mean every application it has been used in deserves a Nobel prize for creativity and its own currency? Nope.
The mere mentioning of "blockchain" in a company's name or website, rises the interest in it's products and the value of its shares now. If a ridiculousness as this doesn't ring the bells, nothing does.

you sound like you read this stuff out of a random article on the web... company's stock rises when they say they have a new website.. whats your point?

My point is it's a good indicator of an unsubstantiated hype when using trending (and totally unrelated to your product) word in your company name triples your stock price.
Also, throwing around "blockchain this, blockchain that" as a proof of some hidden value to cryptocurrency is puzzling. What if a crypto uses it? It doesn't make it more valuable than if it uses for instance another good process for verification.

Still don't get your point... when company's use certain words thats trending same way to gain more attraction it is the same thing. That doesn't mean the technology is now worthless. Your point is worthless. The tech is here to stay it's a hype the same way Virtual Reality, Flat screen tv's, 3D technology and the list can go on.... Crypto is here to stay and the technology will only get better.

The technology behind crypto and whether that coin worth something or not and will it be used in future shouldn't be lump together as if one predicates the other and guarantees it's success.
And Blockchain is neither new idea nor is it only implementation in cryptocurrency, plus blockchain already has better, more effective alternatives.
When an Ice Tea company changes its name to blockchainwhatever and it's stocks triple in price that's quite hilarious and telling.

regardless if an ice tea company changes it's name to blockchainwhatever what is your point of linking that to crypto currency and blockchain technology? How does that link to the future success of crypto and the tech behind it?

It illustrates the nature of the hype a simple word has among general population and supports my point that the tech behind a crypto and that crypto value are not to be lumped together for no reason. Blockchain is blockchain. Some cryptos utilize blockchain as one of the principles used to operate/create it. That's it. Whether blockchain is here to stay or not has nothing to do with whether cryptocurrencies are here to stay or is their current perceived value justified.

Hope that clarifies it for you a bit.

Pointing out it's a hype does nothing. Video games was a hype and it's still here and only gotten better.

I was just reading the first few posts. Ridiculous how people started to comment weird stuff like flat earth theory and so on right away.

It reminded me of something: If OP would have make this post in the year 2005 and talked about an upcoming financial crisis, then the comments would have been the same. Do you guys really think the owners of the exchange websites etc. are not acting in their own interest? If you guys would own Google, then wouldn't you guys make your own websites on the first spot always? The real conspiracy theorists are the people who think that these guys of the exchange platforms are doing it because they are nice guys. Short reminder: This is capitalism guys. There is no such thing as being selfless, especially not in the financial sector.

Of course the TECHNOLOGY is here to stay, but you can NEVER fix or control the HUMAN who is actually running this stuff. Government couldn't also control bankers who were extremely greedy and careless before 2008. The human component is full of mistakes. You never know what is on their mind. Maybe they think "I will make myself extremely rich, don't give a fuck about others, let this crypto and technology crash".

It does point the truth. And hype with the potential to cost billions of dollars lost is something quite different then video games. Video games gives entertainment to the world. Crypto so far is falling short to even give the lower fees, higher speed transactions it promises (basically the only value it arguably has to offer over flat)

Pointing out it's a hype AND pointing out blockchain and crypto are not one and the same and shouldn't be used as justification why crypto is (also) here to stay does something. It makes a point.

To put all this on side about managing price etc, only crazy person will think that these cryptos will replace paper money and cards. Price is only going up because people see that others invest and that price is going up otherwise if you ask they why they put money they couldn't tell you why. It won't even get near price of gold, anything up is just dream.

Iv seen the same happen with "smart devices" , the hype of the concept drives many companies into thinking they need to release a smart version of theyre entire product line , but we really don't need a smart rug , or faucet , or dresser etc. However the market will correct itself and weed out the unnecessary products , ideas , gimmicks etc. Also allot of people have the idea that all cryptos are trying to be "currency" or replace the dollar and that's not really the case, really only a handful are actually trying to be currency , the others are platforms , utilities , tech trying to solve a problem with decentralization , and just ambitious start ups and projects. Its better to think of coins tokens as stock shares in most cases instead of the idea that you will be trying to purchase things with them , again in some cases that is the intent but more often your "coins" simply represent a share of that project or company. But I do agree with some peoples criticizing of the blockchain hype, right now its just new , exciting and buzzworthy so your going to see allot of unnecessary implementations of the tech and companies trying to cash in on the craze by associating themselves with it but in time that will die down , for now just ride the wave :)
