Hi

This post i am writing to explain why it can be dangerous to sell on fiverr.

Suppose if a buy a apple laptop does any law in the world states that this laptop can be repaired by apple authorized store ? Same goes for any other digital or physical product .

i have buy the product and i am the owner of this product now. i can get it fixed or repaired from anywhere . What does apple has to do with it ?

i was running a very successfully campaign for tech support industry providing genuine services .then one day bing and google changed their policy saying its third party violation and my whole business collapsed . They say that you cannot provide support for apple or windows or any other brand if you are not the owner of brand .

Now again some days ago my highly success full gig was taken down by fiver citing third party violations . The gig was very successful and after 5 months it is now taken down without any notice to make improvement.

Now again i am at complete loss have to start everything from scratch . My advise not to go with business models where the website has complete command on your business . They can change their policy any time and you will be left with no work .Fiverr is much worst at this they do not even told you whats the actual reason is so that you can make adjustments . they will wait to milk you and then when they have earned enough money from you they will just shut you down.

Instead build contacts and network .That is the only long term way of doing business

Well, Fiverr has a rather vague policy about 3rd party violations. In essence if you violate any 3rd party's TOS, you violate the Fiverr TOS. E.g. you won't find it spelled out anywhere in the Fiverr TOS that you can't sell Twitter accounts there, but it's against the Twitter TOS, which makes it against the Fiverr TOS. It's your responsibility to know what's against a site's TOS and if you violate it, you can count on gig takedown in any moment.

There marketplace was a lot darker back then when they started, almost everything was a go unless it was some highly illegal shit, for a good few years now it's getting whiter and whiter.

i used to offer expired backlinks from high authority websites like forbes etc . Well i did not sell anything illegal or copyrighted . i just sell expired domains which have backlinks from website like forbes or bbc . i dont get why its illegal .i have buy the domain and if these websites dont want to give juice to them then they can just remove those expired domain from their content .They are already dead there . why fiverr needs to close it ?

Not really true because you can get certified for much things and provide services legally .

Even if you didn' do the exam as long as it in your name and address your in.

So buying certs matching your skills is blackhat but works ....

They dont allow any keyword which is related to support .even generic keywords like computer support or software support are banned by them as third party violations or user safety .i tried everything but they just ban it at end . They dont say that technical support is banned publicly because big names are running their campaign successfully and spending millions on these ads .

That does not matter . The reason they say is "third party technical support" is not allowed.
But i agree not having my own website is my biggest fault .

The thing is their TOS is not constant .they will change it any time if they suits their need . They do not even care of small business when coming to change their TOS but they will make sure somehow that big brands have no problem with same business models .

Fuck Fiverr.. Its a slave market is what it is.. I've been running more than 5 gigs on it for some time and 4 of them have now been hit with TOS. They give vague reasons and take the entire gig down without any warning.. It takes a good hour or two to set up a gig and instead of giving a warning to remove maybe a word here or there (usually its a word that should not be used, or a service that I didn't know is against the TOS) , they completely take down your gig and you can't even refute.

They should at least put up a TOS regulations page somewhere for sellers that look for a niche that needs filling.

It's OK to depend on other companies and marketplaces as long as you do not depend on a single company or marketplace. When you are successful somewhere, it's easy to start concentrating on just that, but it's dangerous. But no matter how diversified you are, there are always going to be risks. Life is unpredictable. Even if you have a supposedly cushy 9-to-5, you could still get fired or your employer could always go under. So there is always risk and you should be always looking for new options. You're never ever safe. But that should keep you hungry, growing and expanding more than anything else.

As others have said, just don’t put all of your eggs in one basket.

Personally I’ve had some bad experiences on fiverr, but I’ve also had great ones, and I’ve found some really great providers on there when all of my other sources came up blank.

I think as a buyer it’s omportant to forget about the sites name (fiverr) and realise that if you want a great service you need to pay a fair price for it.

There are many freelance websites like upwork freelancer.com seoclerk.In my opinion best is upwork.com But also try to build contacts by keeping active on forums .
