It sounds like someone trying to make a statement. If there is only 1 coin the only point would be to prove that value is subjective and even cryptocurrency is just another financial vice. That 1 coin is worth whatever that person is able to say it's worth basically. Other than that I have no idea what the deal would be or why someone would even do that. But it would make each individual piece worth a certain amount of money and as each piece such as a satoshi would become more valuable because more people want it. Maybe not such a bad idea actually.
