Let it be known this is all a scam

Blockchain is a revolutionary technology, how can you contest this?

How is it THAT MUCH revolutionary though? Is it that much more revolutionary than, say, cloud computing and cloud data sharing?
What gives it the value of a market cap of nearly trillion of dollars?
How do you lot even dare to compare blockchain with the creation of internet, which was even in it's infant stage (the ability to instantly send large amount of data to a remote location was clearly as day a game changer to nearly everyone) regarded as revolutionary by vast majority of tech savvy people and if there was doubters they were minority/people who didn't know what computer is.

Use it while you still can.. this is the same shit when internet came out and you could of bought hi.com or bye.com or money.com but you didn't and now people that own that shit can sell for an arm and a leg. Same concept, don't be a fool and scream scam like a 12 year old.
Bitcoin was created from some of the best cryptographers in the world like Nick Szabo, Hal Finney, Gravin Andresen; who say "bitcoin creation is a scam" is nothing but a pure ignorant.
Blockchain is a revolutionary technology, how can you contest this?

It's like to see in a man building the first plane in 1890 , and all the people around him keep saying "you just mad, we have wonderful horse carriages! You will die with that thing!" or "do you think that thing can transport me from here to 100km as my horse do in JUST 2 days??"

So it's today, you see people asking "yes but can I buy a beer in Bitcoin, huh? Can I?" but obviously totally mislead the use of this technology which is just in early stages.

Totally different thing is its price/speculation. On this one I THINK (since I have not any proof) is over-inflated and this vertical growth will not last long. But again I cannot state this because who knows? Nobody has the time machine among us.

altxactly !

wow so we reached that point of the conspiracy theory ?

sorry op, but your posts are full of nonsense
Apart from OP's opinions, he is factually correct. No nonsense.
finaly someone use his brain :)) When you send money to another bank account your bank doesnt send the real money just some numbers .... Same like bitcoin same like other crypto
It just isn't the same. You aren't just sending a number. You are sending value that is backed by a stable economy, where the value will be retained.

If you imagine that every post gratuitously includes:

my sides.
Guys, the dollar itself is fiat currency. It should have collapsed a long time ago.

We live in a fantasy land whether you agree or disagree.
Another gold post.

Explain to me why the dollar should have collapsed long time ago? Obviously, cite sources too.

i already know about this since months ago. i also know the guy bitfinex'ed and let me tell you one thing. he's a crypto trader. he believes Tether is a scam, bitfinex is a scam, and charlie lee was involved in inside trading. I read all his posts in medium. despite all these, he's still trading crypto. I actually asked him whether i should short BTC/USD in futures and he couldnt give me an answer because he himself still believe in future of cryptocurrencies despite all his findings.

I will say it just like i've said it over and over again. will cryptocurrency bubble come to an end? quite possibly. but why does it matter if you have invested in this game for a long time and you gradually cash out your position? i made 10x of my investment last month with raiblocks and i withdrawn 30% of what I earned there. I also made a lot from XRP and again i withdrawn some of my profit. that alone already tells you that the money that I've made from two positions are already much more than what I've earned from forex or even stocks. and I do trade BOTH forex and stocks beside crypto. I also made 4x of my investment in INS (i sold out all of my positions at 15 january) and i converted all that to fiat

if one day the whole crypto world come crashing to literally zero, i'd still have made quite handsome amount of money. when I said "withdrawn", i wasnt talking about converting them back to bitcoin, but to real fiat.

If you are just starting out, I cannot give you any advice...but if you have been there for at least 6 months, i can assure you have made quite handsome amount of money. should you quit now in that case? no, let's just keep pushing, and see where it ends. Everybody knows this is like gambling but with much higher chance of winning (compared to going to casinos where you almost end up losing in the end).

so just take it easy and let people do whatever they want with their money. everybody knows it's a high risk investment. chill out. if someone asks me whether he should invest in SEO or in real-life restaurant, you know what? i'd tell the guy to start a real restaurant because SEO is a stupid unstable business. but if I say the same thing in BHW, I would get bashed. that's why i wont say everybody should stop doing SEO, even though in business sense, restaurant is much more stable.

basically, treat cryptocurrency trading as high risk investment where you should only put money you can afford to lose. once you make good profit, you cash out some of your profit to fiat. do that consistently and don't expect too much. as simple as that.

people keep saying BTC is a bubble. well, it is. but that's exactly why I'm in the business. if it's not a bubble, i wont be able to make a lot of money. let's say you turn $2K to $4K in crypto. what you need to do is withdraw half of what you have to fiat and trade the rest of the $2K. actually in psychological sense, that alone is much safer than stock trading. because in stock, it takes awhile before you earn 100% ROI, and thus you will have constant fear of losing money.

They also don't take into account scaling ability or the cost of Bitcoin.

Right now, the amount of transactions happening every hour are the equivalent to all transactions happening in a medium size town (50,000 people). And the fees for Bitcoin are what, 5-20%?

Imagine the fees when the whole world adopts it (not that they will). Absolutely sky rocket.

But don't worry, the 6 mining companies that hold a monopoly over mining have promised lower rates next year, for the last 4 years in a row.

but why does it matter if you have invested in this game for a long time and you gradually cash out your position?

It matters because for every person that was able to profit, there is, or will be in some point, a person(s) that losses their money.
Value is not created out of thin air, at some point all comes to a balance unless there is a mechanism for the investment to create new jobs, commodities and goods to justify/earn the profits yield earlier and blockchain or other distributed ledgers aren't creating nearly enough value to justify 13 000% profits for everyone.

this is a very stupid logic. we are here trying to make money, not for charity. using the same logic that you use, for every profit that you've made in forex, someone else is losing money. be it banks, or someone else in ECN market. i shorted XAU/USD awhile ago and the profit that I've made didnt come from thin air. come on, enlighten me. if you trade XAU/USD and you make profit by shorting it, where the money comes from?

i wont debate with you if you dont know the answer. and if you do know the answer, tell me why forex or commodity trading is not banned

I still remember People Calling Bitcoin Scam/Ponzi when it was around 2k USD Back in Early 2017. Few Reputed Guys Around here on BHW also claimed it to be Ponzi.

In last couple of months, People Rushed in to Cryptoworld like Crazy. Some Exchanges even claimed to have 250k new users daily signing up. Here is an article that which says Coinbase added 1 million new users in 1 month https://cointelegraph.com/news/bitcoin-user-base-surges-coinbase-adds-1-mln-users-in-1-month

In Dec, Bitcoin was at all time high and almost reached 20k and passed 20k on some exchanges. No Doubt there are Top Buyers and the sellers are lucky to have sold their bitcoin at that price. Since then, Bitcoin have halved in value and currently is on its way to recovery. But All the new comers have already sold their bitcoins which they only bought to make Money quickly.

I see a lot of People bad mouthing Bitcoin and whole blockchain thing that they know nothing about it. These are the people who have lost Money on Bitcoin because they had to sell it at a loss. Some people even took loans to buy bitcoin so you know.

You either buy Bitcoin in this dip which we have right now and be patient OR Buy it when it rallies again.

You've missed the point entirely. This other person might've been you (or will be you at some point) or another fellow BHW'er who followed some advice, or your cousin, or your girlfriend - it doesn't matter actually.
What matters is - this is worse than gambling. In casino you can play at -1%, and in crypto gambling you are not at all aware what will happen next and if history tells us anything it's that masses get burned and few lucky/in the know get rich in the end.

you are the one who missed the point. if I shorted XAU/USD at 15 january and I got out at 18 january and my metatrader platform told me I made $500 in profit, I can withdraw that profit and my broker has to pay me that amount of money (minus wire transfer fee). where does that money come from? where the $500 comes from? answer the question

if you have problem with the whole trading world then I can understand it. if you single out crypto but you refuse to see commodity trading and forex the same way you see crypto trading, you are basically a hypocrite. because the $500 profit I've made from XAU/USD also comes from a counterparty. And dont misunderstand me. i completely understand regulation plays a huge difference in forex and crypto but the concept of how you make money is the same. from a counterparty. be it your own broker (if he's market maker) or from where he push your trade (ECN market or LP)

besides you can short bitcoin if you think it's going to crash. personally i'm glad i have that option now.

Agreed, most people talking about how BTC is in an early phase, maybe. But the time to make crazy money has gone, the big guys are getting ready for an impressive dump.

I mean, if they can't do it on the FTSE, why not do it with fake coins and less experienced players (general public, crypto-bhw experts, youtubers)?

It's going to be so funny when it collapses, listening to all the dross from the big time pro traders who are all of a sudden financial experts. Half of which are probably still having their clothes washed and dinners made by mummy and daddy.

well you can short bitcoin in futures. I probably will do that in the near future when there's bad news. why wont I? should I post here when I'm about to short XBT? !remind me in 3 months

I can withdraw that profit

Or, alternatively - take the loss. Don't you get it? Gambling is stupid. That's all there is to the current crypto hype, except that is even more stupid and more dangerous not only to the gamblers but to everyone.

take what loss? you keep replying to me while you keep missing my point. when I wrote "take that profit", that's hypothetical scenario for the current positions i'm in. my future strategy is consistent to what i've been doing in the past. i took 30% of my position in XRB. i got in XRB when it was $2 and i went out when it was $25 and i took 30% of my position at the time back to fiat. i didnt "take the loss" on that one. does it mean i'm the expert? of course not. you are right in that sense, i was gambling.

and yes, of course if I lose certain percentage, i'd cut loss the position. i wouldnt hold it to zero.

and gambling is not stupid. if we want to ban all form of gambling, we have to extend it to the point of banks gambling with the stock market. and hey, i made money too from the stock market. dow jones keeps rising. you think i'm gambling too there? well, i'm glad i gambled then

anyway you refused to answer my question about my XAU/USD trade. so let me ask you again. if I made $500 by trading XAU/USD in metatrader, where the money comes from? is it gambling when you trade gold and expect the price to drop?

Shorting options is a very bad idea. You can buy put options instead.

Bitcoin is volatile enough. Trading Bitcoin futures is downright crazy.
