Need help with Engagement rate :\

After IG update on 11 - 13 December ( 2017 ) (a new system of hashtags ) my engagement got down, but reach and views same as before, pics are semi-viral but quality, with only niche travel without the full viral crap.
For examples: before that new system - 200k views and 180k reach = around 17-21k likes
now with same reach and views only 13-14k. Not semi-viral shots, just for my niche got 13-14k likes, now around 8-9k.
Do engagment groups in telegram and DM, 3 times per day around 160-170 likes per time and 20-35 comments.

Maybe Instagram caught on to you and Telegram. I personally stopped using Telegram about 1 year ago. For the same reasons as you state above. Now, things are back to semi-normal; with the frequent Instagram hiccup of loss in engagement every once in a while.

Yes it could be true, if no one, everyone can throw someone else's account, and I do not think that's the problem with this, because I've been using telegrams since early summer 2017

Are you using repeated hashtags ? diversify them each post.

Engage with your ghost followers (those who are there but no liking / commenting) by liking / commenting their posts.

Do both of those things and I guarantee an increase in engagement.

Around 3-5 tags repeated for every post, only about 8-10 tags per post

Are they adapted to the post ?

Edit : if you don't have a good hashtag strategy, just scrape your ghost followers and interact with them, try to make a list that those who engage back in a period of 1 week, for those that didn't interact back, you can unfollow them.
