Nice routine. I have a similar routine myself when it comes to writing. Once you write enough on different topics the research part becomes second nature and significantly much easier. I have developed knowledge on a ton of subjects making it significantly easier to typically do a few minutes research and be on my way to writing. When someone is just starting to write it can take time to build that database in the mind in order to help speed up the flow. Many people don't consider all the additional things that need to be done in order to earn a living writing including finding work, researching the topics, outlining the material as you mentioned, actually writing it, editing, and other office tasks etc... The actual writing part ends up being only half of everything that needs done.

Honestly, when it comes to freelancing, in general, it's tough to get a job (at least it has been for me). I guess it's all about not giving up and constantly improving your quality by developing samples you can post as part of your portfolio.

What it does is it helps you become a better listener by turning the mind chatter off (a.k.a. you waiting for your turn in the conversation, not paying attention to your partner). Harry, you're good enough to do white papers. That's how I make the majority of my money. I average about $2000 a project. It takes me a couple of weeks but that's more waiting than doing actual work. It's super fun too.

You should think about doing it.

How many words do you sell for $2000?
What kind of white papers to you write btw _ are they sales copy?
