That and how much they've lost on trades. Everyone makes posts about their profit while silently cutting themselves in the corner over losses. Makes it look like a fool-proof method of making money. Buy, hold, and by 2019, you'll be a millionaire. The reality is, people put in their few thousand dollars, see it drop by $500, panic sell, and move on. Others are already playing with profit and can shrug off a 40% dip (or like the genius OP is suggesting, sell/buy it).
