Best practice for niche sites

Hi,

I have some niche's websites, but most of them doesn't have too much content (5-8 posts)

My biggest problem is getting some backlinks for them, since they aren't new, and their authority is real low, I don't have much to offer to those who search for post exchange.

What do you suggest?

Add more posts (up to at least 15-20 per website), if possible bigger than 3-4k words each. Backlinks don't need to be reciprocal so you don't need no post exchange, just one way links to your niche websites. Hope this helps, cheers!

3-4K?

My websites are micro-niche, and I'm using them for an affiliate purpose.
each website is for promoting a certain digital product.

I'm trying to make the home page 700-1000 words, and the other posts around 500

30 would probably be more spam than content

Still, you will be competing with other websites and it will be very difficult to outrank them with 500 words reviews.

It's not little value at all,
it's a specific value

let's take for example a website about a book, teaching how to open clogged sink drain

So, I have an article about the concept to the process,
and article about common ways to open such sinks
article about the different between opening sink in the kitchen and in the bathroom
and so on...

this book is being sold only twice a year,
and the last time,
I was ranked 3 in google,
2700 people entered my website during the selling,
330 of them bought the product,
so.
the value is huge, for certain people

The only question is, how do I tell that to google

That is cool idea,
but most time I build the website only 1 month before the hype of the product supposed to begin,

This method could help me for the next hype, which is usually happen 4-6 months later

 

[Initial Effort]

Atleast update the sites with new posts so it won't look dead. You can also create social media profiles where you can link your site to. Linking to authority sites is ideal but if you find it difficult at least go after relevant sites first. You can also do blog commenting but avoid being spammy.
