Is there any financial instrument/asset that is traded 24X7 and 365 days at different places and is decentralized and is not backed by any physical commodity but by just trust and faith of a majority.
If No, then how can tech analysis/charts and theories be applicable to something which haven't happened before?
P. S : Looking for just enlightening.

Because they are all controlled ultimately by Human psychology, in particular the traits of greed and then fear.

OP, right now the crypto scene is the Wild West. You have groups pumping and dumping, people investing in a coin they think will cure cancer, others investing in projects that are no longer maintained. There’s only one chart you need right now and that’s one with a line pointing up off the chart.

You shouldnt care imo. If you can make money off of it now that you still can, now that there still is an opportunity. Why would you care, I would say take your chances because this could be a once in a lifetime opportunity, thats how I see it anyways.

a bubble ? lol you ppl have no clue what your talking about . bitcoin will be 23k early this year ,the dip to 12k was predicted for low volume at christmas which happens every year the same as chinese new year will be a correction . stop your fud unless you have proof because you are stopping ppl investing when this is the exact time to buy too make huge returns .ive paid off my mortgage all my debts and bought a new car this year trading bitcoin ,call it what you will but this year i will be a millionare from crypto .buy low sell high you can do the same .

Just to play devils advocate I have to point out the well known saying about history always repeating itself.

But, aside from that I sort of agree with you. Nothing like this has ever existed, so it won’t necessarily follow any old rules or patterns.

Yes it is a bubble, but this happens to almost every new technology, people said the same thing in 1995-2000 about the internet, 2004-2005 about FB and all new tech companies.

It is fascinating really, just imagine what you can build with Blockchain technology, a powerful enough Search engine to compete with google doesn't sound that crazy anymore.

My opinion is crypto currency is not network marketing, not pyramid scheme, not MLM. People compare it to the above schemes and try to relate it to.
I don't know if bitcoin is bubble, scheme or gamble but I personally have a feeling that I am witnessing one of the greatest inventions(I sometimes wonder if its a invention or discovery) of this generation and generations to come.
One wise man once said the illiterates of this century are not those who cannot read and write but one who cannot learn, unlearn and relearn.
I learnt bitcoin, unlearnt all the schemes and waiting for re learning.
I might be wrong but I am proud.

Not saying I agree, as I have 0 experience with crypto, I just wanted to share this here as it looks interesting to me, like.. the fact that BTC chart looks like standard financial bubble chart. I have not created the image myself, and I have 0 experience in Crypto, so I don't want to look like I am saying BTC will go down or anything, just that the below image looked interesting enought for me to want to share.

Personally, I don't think crypto is a bubble, at least not yet. If we compare how much was the capitalization of any bubble, we will see a significant difference. Yes, Bitcoin and crypto could become a bubble, and it will probably happen, but not yet.

Back in 2000, capitalization of dot-com market was 6.7 trillion $, and today the capitalization of a crypto market is just around $500 million.

It will take at least a year or two before it could become a bubble, but if that happens and if bubble burst, the market will stay. Of course, it will lose at least half of the valuation, but it will still be here, and it will be less volatile than today. Imagine if Bitcoin came to $50000 and if then burst, it will probably even worth more than it's today (after the bubble burst).

A market is still immature, and blockchain technology is still immature, we are still in early stage of it.
