Did Facebook Increase Page Reach For 2018?

I have noticed that, too, but I am waiting for the catch. I wish that the reach could convert to engagements without spending a penny.

You could try more interactive posts.
Ask questions along posts... using these keyword... "How" "When" "What" "Why" etc
Also createyour own content... frequently and consistently.

Not noticed any changes in mine either, probably cos they are mostly links from my RSS feeds... I’ll make a post and see how it works

Personally, I think its best to post manually to your page.
I have tried auto post in the past..and there is no doubt that they acqure way less reach and traffic.

For me it was opposite. I thought may be most people are still in vacation mode, hence less reach. Same happens every year is first week of January.

Consider including photos and videos in your posts.
Also incude more content created by you... especially videos. (Use Camtasia 3)
Dont share too often... say one post every hour..two hours or so.

Well thanks for the advice but actually I'm happy with the reach we have. Maybe now its a bit below average but early January has always been like this.
Also IMO videos and photos are only good for bringing you new likes (they earn you directly nothing while distracting traffic from link posts) which we dont really need as we already reach more than half of the population of our country, new likes just create bigger overlap. We post twice an hour from moring till midnight, this was tested multiple times and this works the best for us, I'd say you need to have a system otherwise you don't know what to follow.

Facebooks main competitor is google, adwords and adsense. They are not gonna let you have tons of free traffiic to your adsense websites. You can, just have to pay for it. If you want better reach on articles, then instant articles is the way to go. FB does not want their users to go elsewhere for content.

I knew this would happen, I said to my partner getting traffic from facebook is temporary, so we just concentrated on SEO for our websites and push notifications. I would rather have 200k push notifications subscribers, atleast we would have control.

Have you noticed that in bhw threads, fb was a great way to get traffic.Then fb unpublished alot of pages and they still do, now they are limiting reach on links. Now traffic methods using fb is diminishing.

Don't forget THEY CAN JUST DISABLE Your account . I know some folks suddenly their account got disable ironic their FB ad still running " the tricky part is wonder FB still charging or stop since they disable the account "

last time FB use to be good for marketing , I notice like in 2015 or 2014 is getting harder , ironic I found a lot iM got good results from twitter and instergram rather from FB .

There is one thing I have noticed, reach for link posts is based on ctr. Which means if the ctr is high then it will reach more people. So clicks and ctr is important on links. Likes have less weight on link posts. My observation is that some of the link post on our pages have fewer likes but high reach, post insight shows lots of people clicked on the link.

A lot of the media is confusing this, the changes have not been made, they are slowly being rolled out. Your page reach will not be staying the same, they specifically said it will severely drop and as a result their stock is down over 5% today. Google search for Facebook stock, or just google facebook and then click news. Your facebook pages will soon be worthless regardless of how engaging your posts are.

I'm sure glad I sold my pages for $20k last July on flippa, because I couldn't get shit for them now.

Reach is still higher than usual on my page since 2018.
Its actually highest on VIDEOS.... then links.
Pictures gets the least amount of reach, based on my observation.

Videos I create... similar to AJ+ but its about my niche... gets decent amount of views and egnagement... brand your content and build a community.
Links that BREAKS NEWS and stimulate readers gets high reach as well... Some may call this clickbait but its not fake... just errupts CURIOUSITY.

Users will always SHARE content they like/concerns them... especially when you feed it to them FIRST... the more shares... the more reach/traffic.

I think the trick is being FREQUENCY, CURRENT and CREATIVE.
