Parasite with 302 redirects?

I've been working with a parasite that is:

a) a subdomain site
b) outgoing links are 302 redirects

how much of an impact do the redirects have vs direct links?

Well, the first thing is what's the purpose of the links. If the outgoing links are to give link juice, then in theory that's not gonna happen. 302 redirect means "Moved temporarily" and google doesn't give credit to it like it does to 301 moved permanently or direct link. I think 302 could be compared to a nofollow direct link where google sees it but doesn't pass link juice. If the subdomain is what you want to rank and there are just some outgoing 302 links then I don't think it matters at all.

I agree to some extent, however, there's not much of a link juice transfer difference between 302 and direct link really. Tried and tested back when Tumblr (that is maybe what OP is working with) changed their links to 302 redirects. Not much of a difference in terms of power at all.

Not sure why 302 was used instead of a 301, as normally a 301 is used as a redirect and the effect would be much better as it's telling the SE that you've moved/changed your location online. If 301 is possible, then by all means use the 301.
Previously, the 301 links do provide enough link juice to your site - in the wee days of the 301 redirect method. Can you imagine having a PR8-9 redirecting site having their sub-link or sub-domain pointing back to your site - it definitely trickled in the link juice, and when done in bulk, it gave some good link juice in the process.
Power those redirect links with some article links from behind, and it should get those 301s noticed in the process, immediately.
