How would you split up $ 1,500 on alt coins guys? I'm just curious (and a fcking noob regarding crypto). I don't want to daytrade or sell it next week, but rather hold it long term.

It has been noted that your preferred style of a troll joke is a short one. I will make sure to take that into consideration from here forward, when preparing my post in a manner appropriate for the lounge. As for the topic at hand, I have been attempting to get into crypto for the last month. And for being anonymous, fast, efficient, I have experienced none of the above. Each exchange requires US citizens to upload identification, proof of address, bank information, double verification, social security number for IRS purposes, height and weight measurements to confirm ID is accurate, color of last automobile, the third previous job you were an entry level employee of (which can be tricky, it's not just the third previous job, and you will fail, having to resubmit.), bank statement from the last three months, two types of photo selfies with hand written scribble mentioning the website you're applying access to, a wallet address, an api key, three passwords that have never been on the dark web, a W2 earnings statement of the previous year, a credit score of 625 or higher on the vantage 13.0 scale, or a passport with three stamps from south east Utah. Once these have been complete, you have to wait for a phone text message for an api pin which allows you to log into a newly created geocities website. You will need to start a blog that talks about the next coin to jump in price by the thousands of percent. That coin must not be available on the current exchange that you've signed up for, but demanded that it be put into the exchange, regardless of your current subscription to Playboy magazine being paid for the next three years. In other words, you're saying we should buy ripple and hold on for dear life?

I HAVE BEEN FOLLOWING CRYPTO FOR A LONG TIME AND I DON'T THINK THAT RIPPLE WILL EVER BE AS BIG AS BITCOIN, SORRY

Come back when it’s actually tripled since the 27th. Still a bit to go. You posted the thread when XRP was at ~$1.30. It's currently ~$3.18 (edit: $3.16 after two minutes of responding) (edit2: $3.14). That is not tripling. I can see why you failed out of the forex game. Or we can keep rounding numbers to the nearest whatever-fits-your-needs.

Additionally, my content rates are 10 times higher than you state above, because I know how to write. I've made more by writing in the past six months than you did on crypto in 2017. And while I definitely spent more time on it, I'm providing something of value, not buying into a pump and dump with tens of thousands of others and patting myself on the back for speculating it was going to increase.

But let's get back on topic. Personally, I think XRP has the potential to hit $0.50 in 2018. At least. Maybe more. All I know is, I'm definitely right. What about you guys?

Personally I can't see it. I see the hype is people think that Ripple will be added to Coinbase soon, and when it isn't, well it will just be another Verge steaming down. That is Crypto for you.

I have no doubt if Ripple is added to Coinbase it will have a decent (short lived) spike. However after this event (even if it happens)I think it will be goodnight Ripple.

Like i said 1000 times on this thread, im holding until its added to coinbase, itll def shoot up when its added, and thats when ill sell. Thats what i recommend and recommended everybody here to do.

Then if u dont believe in ripple, take a vacation with the profits

Me perosnally, ill reinvest after the dip but def not all of my profits, a small sum of it and will let it be for a long long time :)
