Sorry for the clickbaity title but i had to get you to look at this thread :)

Anyways does anyone have methods or tips to grow a personal account?

I Have looked on this subforum but not much for your own accounts.

I wanna stay away from Follow/Unfollow. This is an account i actually use and dont want it cluttered with garbage. And i dont plan on monetizing it.

Also I'm Looking for feedback on my instagram (instagram(dot)com/nlxck)
Let me know if my engagement seems legit, and if my post schedule seems appropriate. and other areas of improvement are also welcome!

I'm not sure on this one, but if you find a way I'd definitely be interested in knowing about it. I just got my personal 11k+ flagged for botting and no my engagement is destroyed. So if their is a new, effective way to grow a personal one i'd be super interested to hear about it.

growing a personal account without botting is for me a matter of 3 things:

-Post very unique content, content that is viral in nature. (videos are more engaging that simple photos)
-Use hashtags adapted to your account to promote that content.
-Make friends of people in the same niche as you and help each other out.

If u want avoid F/U i believe except as @Simox123 said, you would need to find engagement group this might help a bit. But growing naturally is pretty hard, acording to post you have to make them in high quality and as about videos im not sure if they are better. I got private account but my videos has less likes than photos that is for sure, as for views they are similar to number of likes as photos or they are higher

I don't think you know what clickbait is because your title wasn't CB, you did it the right way which is much appreciated ;)

So are you a photographer? I love the photos and what a beautiful cathedral!

Now about growing, you should use follow technique and only unfollow if you ever reach 7k.

Targetting is easy, find big accounts for photographers for example /nikonphotocontest and add their followers, you already know those are people that love your kind of photos which I must say I like the style.

Yeah, photography is a hobby>

I still dont want mess with viral videos since i dont know how to produce that sort of content. and dont want to plagiarize.

Uhhh where am I talking about viral videos?

Post High quality content, make sure to interact with your followers are the main ones, other then that delete photos with low engagement so your engagement looks better

Personal accounts are probably the hardest accounts to grow, given that people have to become a fan of your content AND the type of personality you portray on your profile.

A few things you can do based on what I've seen from other personal accounts that I follow myself;

- Post often (at-least once or more if possible a day) HIGH QUALITY images. That means you should even look into doing photo-shoots. This is actually easier than you think if you put in the work. Maybe ask a friend to take dope shots of you from time to time. Enough so you have a good amount to post.
- Use Ink361 (online tool) to analyze your most liked/commented content. Then try and replicate those types of posts and implement them a little more often
- Use UNUM (mobile app) to check which times are your best post times for your account (based on your followers activity)

Other than that just stay consistent and engage with people.

Influencer marketing is good but follow/Unfollow is a powerful tool in the hands of the initiated...

Post quality content that people will be interested in (funny / humor) and tell ur followers to tag their friends. And also use proper hashtags.

Do this and you should be fine.
1. Post once daily. Posting more times does not make your account grow faster, unless your ass and tits are better than the Kardashians.
2. Engage. Like other similar accounts, and comment. Make sure your comment is relevant. No stupid crap like "best of the day", "greatest", "love it", etc. Never, ever leave negative comments.
3. Follow other similar accounts.
4. Rinse and repeat several times a day.

The more you engage, the more others will engage with you. There are a few tricks to growing faster, but that requires money, or knowing huge accounts.

  1. Join engagement groups/pods
  2. Make videos about your niche and post to Youtube
  3. Post high quality content
  4. Have that theme styled feed
  5. Be creative with your posts
  6. Make a blog
  7. Collaborate with influencers - I recommend using Phlanx(dot)com

Lost of bad and stupid advices here...

Just follow this:

-Post Frequently - Quality and Original Post - Once a day or two.
-Use Captions that invite people to engage - What do you think? What you guys recommend? Tag your friends, etc.
-Stories Stories and more Stories, Never stop uploading a Story - Personal accounts are based on showing what you do everyday
-Use Locations in post and in Stories.
-Use HT in Stories also and always try mention a place / brand / another friend account / etc.
-When you post Just use 2 or 3 Hashtags, and create your owns for very unique situations - Let say your user is 21Savage and you come with a meme of your own, use a HT like #21SavageMemes
-Find similar accounts as yours and Engage, comment their post, like their pics, send them DM.

I found that it helps to have a unique story / perspective. People always want to believe in something.

Find an active page and like the posts of the people who liked the photo or video of the account. That way you're not following anyone only liking posts.

The timing of the posts is also important. Not too much people are active during the weekends, so choose the weekdays for your posts. Post early in the morning and after 5pm. This is the time people are browsing their newsfeeds. I hope this helps!
