website's homepage ranks 27 for a specific keyward in google, but google hav't indexed its title update yet... is it normal? Nearly two weeks ago i edited the title of homepage, using the targeted keyword... but not indexed yet lol anyone can explain this? i'm still learning...

how often does the googlebot come to your site ? i have sites with dynamic content changes and bots come 5-6 times a day
digg it and wait

It takes a while for the title and description updates. I don't know why the updates take so long, I just know that it is normal to experience this and you have nothing to worry about.

As to whether you'll move up or not I can't say if this will help that much.

i dont think that was a good idea... I had a joomla site that did not have the keyword in its title.. i had the basic "welcome to the frontpage" as title and thats how it would show up in Google. I would get 50 to 60 visitors per day..

i then edited the title and put my keyword there.. since then i have been knocked off the first page and am still on the third page getting 5 visitors pr day :/

How do i know exactly how often the googlebot comes? I used the Google webmaster , but figure out nothing...only for top URL and pages crawled by day, etc and BTW, it's not the homepage, but the homepage of english version...

yeah, it takes quite a while, but the funny thing is the ranking comes b4 the title update... i mean b4 i edited the title and content, there is no ranking for the specific keyword..

 u mean the same keyword??? don't know the details, so cann't say its all the fault of changing the title...for many easy, i mean low or no competitiveness keywords, if u edit the title, description...and indexed, it will very likely appear on the first page..

Is just a matter of time, you can ping your site to make Googlebot visit u soon.

I changed the title on one of my sites that had been live for months. I proceeded to build more backlinks and pinged the site daily and it took about 2 weeks to implement the title change in Google's results.

Hello,

google bot comes more often as your pagerank rises. My company has a pagerank 8 and it comes everyday. Another site i own has pagerank 5 and the bot comes every two days. I don't know if this is a rule but with my site i got from PR1 (was once every week visit) and in PR 5 i see G visit me more often.

I change around title and content from time to time, and yes it takes time for google to change. When changing title & content, keep in mind that the site might drop ranks for quite a while, so do it with care and be sure that the new title & content would bring higher traffic than the old one and prepare for the drops.

Yeah I've definately had this kinda thing take weeks before. The more links you build or new content you add the faster its likely to come though. remember to ping after every update.

thanks for all responses.
The title finally updated, 3 weeks, and so does the ranking, 13 now :) and b4 that, ranking disappeared for 5 days...

P.S. this site is not new. and the PR of that page is 1 (homepage 2)

anyone here can explain me how to ping google? i check google search, only found that for blogs..

Good to hear that :) I'd suggest you don't ping google, just do social bookmarks or backlinking it to get them indexed, but don't ping google. Just my 2 cents.
