How can we be protected as a seller providing online services. There is no physical product involved , just online services. After taking the service, if the buyer files a charge back on PayPal who will win ? How to remain protected then ?

Majority of buyers are honest, if your service is profitable and good do not worry about that, Just state clearly what you are offering, give a plus when anayones buys and you will gain people mood. of course you will have Haters and bad people, but will be small percentage .

If you do so you may get few problems. Do not worry about PP worry about your buyers getting satisfied.

I am fine with small transactions but what is the charge back is for a big transaction ?

IMO the safest transaction platform for services is Upwork.
I believe their staff are pretty serious in dealing with disputes, especially if you are willing to use their timer app with random screenshots.
The screenshots are also removable, so if there's something you don't want clients to see, you can hide them.

Did I sound like a shill? Shit! :(
