How do you use Weibo?

Can someone explain to me some advantages of an IMer in the US using Weibo? I'd like to know why it's on the site and how people utilize it. Sorry if I'm being vague, but I'm new to IM and unfamiliar with Weibo.

You can login in on the computer,and if you are not in China, you should use VPN, WIFI should be enough.

Weibo is the kindof closed ecosystem. However, since it has the partnership with Alibaba, many Taobao store owners promote their business on it. In my company we are tried to make like 4 like iphone\android app for Weibo. We developed it and successfully added it to app store.

But there is no any traffic or engagement from chines users. And we don't know how to get chines traffic at all.

By now app has 100 daily users and 1-5$ daily revenue after a year
