I look around on marketplaces daily, and am ready to make an investment, but every time I find something I like I second guess myself.

I've done some research on how to tell if a business is legit, but I've also seen a lot of horror stories.

Is there a definitive guide for buying?

Has anyone had any positive experiences, or have any advice?

If you have a larger budget, check out the website brokering company called Flipping Enterprises which is owned by Thomas here from BHW.

What's your definition of "a larger budget" by the way?

building ur own site will cost lot less than buying already up site, no one is going to sell u their big money making site just remember that.

invest in longterm legid things like adsense or afflicates than going lockers etc, just my view.

You are wrong, buying and selling businesses has always been part of business for a very long time... People will continue to sell their "big" money websites

Building your own site is good. but there is the probability of failing, and you can wait for 6 months to 1 year plus before seeing any $$$.

good for him, ill see my luck in search to see if i can get any adsense up n running sites, thx.

I am new here in BHW but just my 2 cents...

The thing is to see if the website has potential and working on the site after buying it to keep bringing traffic to the site and optimizing for conversion.

I would advise against it. Take a portion of your budget and build a site yourself. Work hard at trying to ranking it and marketing it. Try to generate revenues off it. Make mistakes, learn off your mistakes. Get experience and maybe you will even be able to achieve some sort of revenues off your first project and sell it for a profit. But the main message is that you need to know the inner workings of a site before even thinking of buying one.

That is to be expected.

Most of what gets to the marketplace is total garbage.

In some cases, the numbers are inflated or completely made up.

You should do your due diligence if you ever expect to end up with a return.

Finding a good investment is like finding a needle in a haystack.

It's not fun and it takes a lot of time.

If you do it profitably, that is.

that's common, your negative thoughts will always continue to interfer with anything you could ever imagine, so long until you take charge. it's like with all other things IRL too: do you consume feces or do you consume fresh meals? why would you be interested in What goes wrong - when, What goes wrong, never will make you bank?

no, please stop thinking about this and give clever, logical judgements - you CAN NOT make ANY profit with negative thoughts. they are in itself limiting and by nature.. a by-product of not being as active and present as you could be.

so take this as a hint for all future endeavours: do you want to block yourself or accelerate?

reading about What can go wrong, will almost always guarantee you. Or did you come into this life with caution? No, caution you first learned by your parents who learned by their parents to be afraid of certain situations, DO NOT TACKLE THEM, but push them under the rugg and think they are solved. That's all not how Life works. This is all built into this life, you could say, but not to bring one further, but simply to show what goes wrong. So call it a side-product, nothing that actively anyone would ever produce.

I know this from creating projects, shortly before release or even mid-inbetween, there is always insecurity of "Will it work" and "What if not" / wasting time, could do something better.. at the end nothing gets done and in your case, nothing would ever get bought and realized.

You would see some parts in here controversal but they are all crucial if you have much life experience. When you make decisions, how does your gut feel? Do you tight up, have cramps, stomach aches? All these are signs that all is not in harmony. When decision making you need to have a clear system, you can not be full of sh*t and don't care and think something good will come out of it. Get clean and see it all improve easily. That's just a "side hint", but a very effective one and essentially: You cant neglect the health of the body, because it's your interface. If that is messed up, well you could say you "see things wrong" or "mis-interpret" things wrong, due to such simple things like a stomach ache, which so many people dont even have identified yet. They simply say they dont feel at ease, or uncomfortable and have not yet properly felt into the body and identified certain regions and what they are associated from

But that would go way too far of what you have simply asked (Anyone needs coaching? Lol)

take out of this post what is for you, forget the rest

and Know what is right for you. if you are not sure, leave it, distract your mind / meditate and come back later being all fresh and new, DONT remember and start once again. the less information you already have in your mind, the better that works, or else you are just full of prejudices that are essentially, lets be honest, not your own life-experience, but that of someone else. And how can that match exactly your situation? Figure out for yourself

All the best.

I already bought 2 sites in the flippa that the person said that generated money
but in fact they did not generate anything, I only lost money
after that I gave up buying websites

If flipping websites isn't for you, try out automatic crypto trading can give you some consistent % each day

I think it is better to buy from friends. Most of my friends are in IM and they do sell some of their websites from time to time. I am yet to buy because others beat me because they act faster.

If you want to buy a website then you must check the credential before buy. See the potential first

How much traffic? what's traffic source? Niche, Age Monetization method

Content etc..

Do not buy a site which is completely dependable on Organic traffic.
