Google vs fake news... will this affect seo?

I've just read on Sky News an article saying google started a war against fake news websites...
In this article they say google will ban websites who hides their origin country. What does this means? Will they ban websites that are using cloudflares? Will they ban websites that have hidden whois? Will they focus on just fake news websites or other websites will be involved too?

Google is always tweaking how they rank or provide sites, and they're always looking to tweak it in such a way as to have the most negative effect on SEO practices. They'd rather people just paid them money instead of doing anything creative to get a higher ranking.

if they ban sites using cloudflare then 90% of the wares / pirate media / movies / porn sites with dmca content will be gone from search.

to be frank im like 90% of guys who uses google 90% of times only to search pirated movies site / porn .

ppls will just switch to another search engine so i dont think google will touch cloudflare sites.

Most probably they will only remove fake news sites.

They won't remove the fake news. What they will do is much easier; They will make sure the mainstream media websites like CNN, BBC etc. will always be in the Top 10. Now, how can they do it? Very simple. They will give authority websites an additional boost...makes it even easier for them to rank. As anyone who already did SEO these days/months notices; It takes much longer to rank than before.

They already tested this stuff in their algorithm. For example I could place some medium competition keywords with 20k monthly searches on #5 just within 4 hours...simply by using an authority magazine/blog website in my niche. From there on I just blasted with spam and it ranked in the #3 the next day. What a punch in the face for everyone who is building quality content, quality links or spending lots of money on PBN and hosting services.

Another question is: Who decides what is fake news and what is not? But this would get to political now.
