Time to Page 2 or Better? [LOW Comp, NEW Site]

Ladies and gents,

It's been a hot minute since I've tapped into the world of SEO. Got a quick question for you guys and gals that have been at it for a while...

Let's say you've just built a new website (~1 month old), thrown 25k words of great content on it, and are getting indexed in Google. No backlinks built aside from standard social media (Facebook, Twitter, Reddit, etc) - what's the ETA to hit page 2 or better these days for a build like this?

And please don't respond with the typical noob responses. I do have 8 years of experience in SEO. I also know that after taking a break for 6+ months things can change quite a bit in terms of ranking times.

The last time I built sites like this I was easily able to crack page 2-3 within a week or so with great content and social links for low comp terms. This time around I seem to be getting stuck on page 5-7. And, yes, I've already done the standard SEO 101 checks - on-page is good, no overoptimization issues, good internal linking structure is in place, etc.

So, to the more experienced BHWers, what's the ETA to page 2-3 for a new site nowadays?

you wouldn't ask such questions if you had 8 months under your belt, let along 8 years..

and to answer your question it depends on how good your content [ optimization, low bounce, high CTR ] is and how low the competition for the specific niche keyword is [ long tails, golden keywords, seasonal niches, futuristic niches lol couldn't find a better phrase so -\o/- ]. You could easily get page 1 without even building a single link for very low competiton keywords in a matter of days, it could also take you months of work and backlinks and never get yourself to the top 100 in Serps.

If its 1 month old than what do you expect ? that you are getting traffic like crazy ?
I guess u know it for yourself that this is totally bullsh*. Wait and progress, get some links do some outreach and so on... the rankings will come but it takes time.
Never seen someone ranking for competetive words ranking in one month. Ok you can do it but then if you are that was the longest time on there .

Was in SEO full-time from 2009 to March 2017. So, yes, 8 years. As I stated in my initial post - things can and do change over the course of 6+ months. Anyone in SEO with more than a year of experience knows that's a fact so your statement regarding my experience was pretty ignorant tbh.

Not here to start crap with random keyboard warriors, however. Was looking for a solid answer.

@fabi113 - Never said I was looking to hit #1 after a month? I'm well aware that a month old site is a baby and needs to mature a bit for much to happen. And, yes, backlinks obviously help, but I'm focusing on very, very low competition terms. Keywords that 6+ months ago I could hit page 1 for within 3 weeks with ZERO links built just using great content and good site structure.

Should've known better than to ask a serious question on BHW. Literally the only people that reply anymore are the trolls that try to get their kicks attempting to pretend they're on a pedestal high above everyone else.

What benefit do I have of claiming 8 years experience in SEO, really? Lol. I mean, Jesus. Like I need to impress a bunch of random ego-strokers on an online forum. Get real, people.
