How to lock articles with a content locker?

Hey all!



In recent weeks have been experimenting with writing news articles for a certain niche (not politics - #shocker) and been trying different moethods of driving traffic to the site.


I have finally seemed to crack a way of how to get a constant 1000+ UV per day and am starting to look into how to monetize.

One of the idea's that has punched me in the face with quite an extreme amount of force, was the idea of using a content locker on the articles on the site.

Is this possible?

That all readers will just need to do a survery or some shit on the site in order to get access to the whole article? Even if could get a small enough % of people actually doing it (clickbait headlines draw a lot of attention) it would be awesome to help supplement my student income.

Any advice on the topic would be awesome!

Why dont use adsense ? Check Peerfly content locker, it can solve your problem.

Content locker that can be unlocked by newsletter subscription or sharing the post or following them, are much more better than having this survey thingy. You'll get a lot of bounce out with that.

It's not a good user experience, as many of them don't get through. I've heard a lot of people (viewers) who are complaining to this because even though they've done the survey, received the texts, etc, still it doesn't get through, and that pisses them.

Will they come back? I don't think so. Overall it's not a good user experience.

You gotta treat your site as if you're the person on the other end of the line. Think of conversion, instead of merely crazy clicks or traffic.

There are far better ways to monetize than that thing, and you can earn more than those survey.

Yeah I presumed that would get a lot of bounce with that approach tbh..

That's a pretty good approach to have, it's something I must look into.

You can use banners with affiliate links/cpa offers. Create them in canva, insert them in sidebar, footer or between text in articles (use plugin for this).

Basically it's a new sites, so as much as I love the monthly subscription I don't think it would be appropriate.


It's something I'll have to think about in the next few weeks to try come up with a solution of monetising!
