I have a few accounts I used followliker f/u on for a year or two and slowly built them up to 14k and 23k . I would sometimes not post for long periods of time . In the beginning when I posted often I had high engagement but after the algorithm change and not posting often my engagement is horrible . Has anyone had experience where they just posted regularly again and had the engagement come back or is it more than likely gone forever .

Following. I hear it does matter. But how often should we post?

so when not posting your engagement is horrible? go figure.. ;)

Well it depends on a couple of things but I'd say quality of quantity. When you don't have a lot of followers you shouldn't be posting a lot because it will feel spammy to them. When you have lots of followers the amount of posts depends a bit on engagement. If your posts are getting a lot of attention you can post a lot. If they don't then you probably want to post less but relevant.

You should post 2 times a day and ok weekends 3 times. Imo that workes best.

Posting increasing chances of getting more awareness and exposure, however it decreases your average post engagement which is not attractive

Ah haha I mean to ask if not posting for a long time will cause my account to reach less people when I do post. I usually aim for once a day, but I do fall behind.

You should post 2-3 times a day. You can monitor your engagement rate by using an engagaement calculator. There's a free one at Phlanx.

As our friend said - 2 posts per day are perfect imo. Try and find the best time for your account/niche/follower base and keep it up :)

Strange, I find doing 3 per week to get the most ENGAGEMENT per post. When I did daily, I got more total reach but it lead to each post having less likes. Now I shoot for getting the most engagement per post.

I post 3 times per day, and it works best for my account. It gives me above 5 million impressions per week.

I would post 3x per day to increase engagement, but more importantly, since you used FL to get followers who are likely not engaged and some who are fake / ghosts, do a cleanup of the account and remove the following:

1) remove private accounts you're following
2) remove inactive accounts who have not posted in last 30 days
3) remove fake accounts
4) etc.

Once you do that, focus on following super active people. If they don't like/comment, then not worth following and reciprocating.

Calculate engagement rate before vs 1 month after.

I've done this for a few accounts already and my engagement slowly improves month-after-month. Wish there was faster way to improve engagement rate, but this is only way that has worked in addition to high quality content.

How did you remove those accounts.

How did you remove the accounts? and whats wrong with private accounts that follow you?

I'm working so hard on a new acct to get followers. Other than pay for sponsored posts, following and liking other people's stuff certainly generates followers.

I used to post only once per day every day of the week. Then I started posting 2-3 times daily + 2 instastories and it worked much better.

Posting as often as you can is great if you have a new account. However, it will get tiresome fast, so like one of the users said - twice a day should be enough.

When in doubt, you can always post some more.

Engagement rate generates from the likes, comments and followers. Also we get average from a bunch of our posting. If you want to check your engagement rate on Instagram, here is a free tool:
Which just happens to be your site lol!

I agree with 2 times a day as a standard. Could be successful doing once a week or 5 times a day.

All depends on your engagement and quality of posts.
