When I originally switched to a business account I seen my engagement get fried so I switched back to a personal account and it shot back up (I was botting during this time). However I recently switched BACK to a business account since I don't bot anymore and my engagement has been superb. So make of that what you will.

EXACTLY. People who use engagement groups and PODS are in the same boat. If you have a clean account, I dont think it matters.

Please switch to a business acc and see for yourself.

All the accounts I run are on business. All of my clients' feed run on business. We see no dipped and in fact have been able to raise our averages up by actually studying the numbers. We looked at post that generated more saves. We looked at our reach in 1st hour, 3rd hour, and 6 hour to see how a post perform.
We saw which hash tags gave us lopsided viewers from Mexico/Brazil vs US/UK for that week.


All of that data, you can work off. Without insight, you are running blind.

Well I've gone from 800-1000 likes on each image to 200-300 likes on each image since switching. These are only the last 3 pics I've posted. And each time its getting a bit better, so maybe it will climb back up.
It seems that some people dont see a difference when switching and some do. I think its safe to say the algorithm just affects individual accounts differently. There is no one size fits all, and instagram keeps us constantly guessing.

I honesntly dont feel that has to do with being a business account. I've been using personal account for awhile and the engagement dropped a lot for me too and most other people.
