cheap hosting recommendations please

I'm interested in setting up quite a few hosting accounts with the folloiwng spec

1 domain (or more, not bothered)
Supports ASP (windows)
MySql database (or at least the ODBC for accessing external MySql)

Cheap, about $1 month

for instance softsyshosting (dot) com have a suitable account, but I want more from different suppliers to get a spread of IP's.

Anyone got any ideas?

If I have to I will translate my ASP to PHP and go unix, but I'd rather not yet.

Remember though, you get what you pay for. If you want a lot of IP's move to a cheap VPS or dedicated.

I also checked and found that offer seems to expired on 31st march but when i tried to signup it was working. I have seen this offer 8-9 mnths back and they still running it (always keep extending). So better give it a shot.

However ... I am always turned off ... when I see company (that front as a legit enterprise business solution) ...using the oldest templates on the web as their corp site.

What's up with that ?

The prices ..yeah great .. - But I can't even get past the good prices cause they look like some kid found a template a put a name in front if it. For all I know they can just be a reseller of another service - in which case I REALLY don't want to do business with them.

PEOPLE: WORD TO THE WISE AS I HAVE BEEN IN BUSINESS MANY YEARS....

ALWAYS LOOK FOR THE HIGHEST CHAIN OF COMMAND - and work directly with them by any negotiations necessary. It will benefit you much more in the long wrong. If you can't talk that talk ...get someone to do it on your your behalf. The last thing you want is 3rd, 4th, 5th parties.


I mean : 99.5% Network Uptime /// who offers that? These are designed to run 24/7 - 365 if I am with a world class data center .. Which I am in 4 collocations across the U.S. - I want to know my shit has 99.99% uptime. The only uncertainty is with catastrophic loss - in which case the fuel reserves alone for a world class data center are designed for continuous uptime for 2-3 months after catastrophic loss. Ok ..so some you need simple hosting and these service fit the need - I am not completely attacking them. But I need redundancy and scalability which you should all take into consideration.

Just avoid some reseller. That's all.

These service may be legit and standalone. When I see certain things like amateur or templated websites it send up red flags.

Wouldnt you rather pay like $10-$20 a month for a reseller account with unlimited domains?

@diego- think the point is shared hosting unlimited domains on 1 ip is harmful to SEO and prevents you from taking full adv of linking between sites.

correct unless you find a host that will give you multiple c class IP's. Also, many host's will give you the option to purchase a dedicated IP. This won't work for using addon domains but will work if you purchase different packages with the host.

I am glad to see you hear among us. Opinions are like assholes...everybody has one. It's not my pure intention to deter business from you - but rather give my advise in particular business dealings .... as I have been there and done that.

-Try to save people some hardship from going down the same road I have just to find that some simple advise could have saved you a shitload of time, money, or any combination of the 2.

If you have an excellent service - TERRIFIC - more power to you. Possibly many people will try your service in this forum being that your a simply here standing behind your service.

It was not specifically to just judge a book by it's cover. But I develop ecommerce solutions for companies large and small. If I used some oldschool template for any business trying to compete amongst others in a very saturated industry ....it would be all for none...and I would absolutely fail at trying to establish or differentiate them as a leader in the market.

So, that is the first thing I noticed as someone experienced in corporate solutions.

My apologies if I may have offended you. When it comes to these types of services (speaking for myself) .... I need companies that are tried and true.

There is no opportunity for downtime, outages, or any other circumstance that compromise's service. It's absolutely vital in e-business.

That means , security, uptime, support, scalability....etc.

If that means paying a couple more dollars for a company that supports that infrastructure, it's worth every penny.

I can't say anything else that I haven't already -If you were offended I am offering my apology.

Designer, no offense taken at all. I can't say I disagree with you here as looks are very important (being that it's the first thing a visitor will see when they visit your site)..One thing I have no problem admitting to is that I'm not a designer, not in any way, shape, or form. In fact I begin to think that I'm color blind when it comes to color matching, logos, banners, and photo editing. I give much props to those who are good artists as I have never been one. I went to school to learn networking and security - colors have never been my thing.

Trying to start a business from scratch in this competitive world today is difficult. Believe it or not I was able to take that template and code it around my services and make needed edits to the code, which I was very proud of (being that I'm not designer). It allowed me to get my business off the ground and get people to try my services. Over the past couple months things have been getting better and better - now allowing me to actually pay a graphic designer to recode the whole thing! I now feel it would be a worthy investment and have since hired someone to take the job.

Please be sure to check back at this thread over the next few days as the new design gets coded and put up. I would love to get everyones opinion over it!

I have been pushing this a bit since I have seen it presented here too. It's all about the promo.

The $120 + regular price per year is not the best thing I have heard but when you are getting all the features of that plan for $10 how can you possibly go wrong?

I myself have been considering whether there is any good/cheap hosting that offers dedicated IPs. Im planning on starting multiple blog (wordpress)/affiliate marketing (bans?) sites. Is it really necessary to acquire a dedicated for each over shared IPs which I supposed what most cheap hosting are offering. Any recommendations pros would be appreciated cos Im quite noob at this seo thing? Thx.
