First some history
Several years ago I had 100 MNS (Micro Niche Sites). These sites ended up getting ate by Google. It was not that big of a deal for me as I had other forms of income at that time. I ended up just forgetting about them and letting them rot.

Now
I have nothing. Literally I have a job that gives me a room and 100.00 to live which where I am at is not SQUAT. So I am learning to cope on even less. My goal is to buy one MNS every week while barely scraping by on food and supplies. The end game is to have not 100 MNS but 250 by the end of next year. My premature new years resolution. After that I will take the top 25 and I will either drop or sell the rest. The idea is to have at least a livable income by June via adsense. I know I know Amazon is money on the table but sorry I just do not like Amazon.

First site has been purchased. I am budgeting 60.00 a week into this and 40 for food laundry and essentials. Everything I can do myself. Extra articles - Link building - Proper offsite SEO optimization. Parasite blogs. I am only outsourcing the MNS itself creation and research as to me that is the hardest. It is my hope that within 3 months it can sustain itself and I will not have to budget my income so hard. Yet every step of the way I will keep this thread updated for posterity so someone can follow along and decide if this is the way for them.

I might add that MNS like anything else in the IM world is a lot easier when you have more to invest you will recap your investment faster. However with starting with such a low budget I am going to have to trade time instead of money and only outsource the research and initial creation.

Hello everyone I am back. Pretty uneventful day. I am just chilling at work. Got a PM from the MNS provider this AM. Gave him my paypal addie/ information addie. So waiting to hear back from him. I am eager to get the details to start building out links.

I got a PM from a guy trying to slam his service saying the adsense screens in the thread where doctored and the service is a scam. Yet his case is mute. If you buy a MNS based on adsense screenshots from another user than the problem is YOU. You have to research how much a micro niche site makes. If someone is putting putting screens of an MNS making 1500 a day chances are it is either doctored or a LOT of work was done to the site. On average I repeat AVERAGE an MNS will make you 1.00 per day once built up. YOU must build it up though. 2 articles is not going to get you 1.00 a day. I say BARE minimum 50 articles with good internal SEO meaning using good anchor text linking back to your home page and other articles on your site. Great offsite SEO meaning link using keyword/domain/random and domain mentions in keyword related articles. Trick is here if there is too much keyword related links google will get suspicious and it will trigger internal reviews (software based or manual) next thing you know your site is so far down in the serps that you will never find it. So on this note for MNS it is always best to use a good mixture of links. Then of course the new one is social signals. I never use it but heard great results from those who do.

So yeah what I said above.

So allow me to repeat this bulletpoint.
ON AVERAGE a MNS once built out will make about 1.00 a day. Built out means about 10 related supporting keywords and 5 article each so 50 articles and and link building to all pages of site using under optimization techniques. After a couple months you MAY make 1.00 a day. This is why you absolutely MUST build out more than one site. To make any kind of income you will need at the BARE minimum of 100 sites built out like this.

Use the most of your income will come from 10 percent of your sites rule here.Law of averages you can build out 90 sites that do not make a PENNY ONE then the next 10 could make you 10 to 50 dollars a day. So always keep that in mind. Dump the duds. Do not even bother doing more work to them. The top 10 percent keep and do more work on maybe turn into authority type sites. Then you wash rinse repeat as it does become easier. As you start to play with house money and not your own.

Get it? Got it? Good. Stop thinking things are passive when they are active. No matter what someone claims be realistic and do your homework. MNS is GREAT. You can start it cheap. Takes very little skill. ALL the information you can find online. You can maintain it cheap enough. It is perfect for noobs without a lot of money and time to learn and do some work.

BTW another argument is that these sites will never make any income not enough to pay for hosting and domain.
100 sites averaging 100.00 a day is $36,500.00
1 years worth of Cpannel hosting from namecheap is $540.00
100 domains per year at non special cost premium domain $1,065.00
Total cost is $1,605 per year
Profit $34,895.00

Now this is NOT including cost of services you may or may not buy for your site as that is all optional but I just wanted to BUST the myth.

Now some business advice if you are making 34k a year and NOT spending 17k into developing and increasing your business and maybe even exploring new streams of income then again the problem is YOU. Always put half of your income back into your business.

Your logic isn't foolproof. If it was guaranteed to work, why isn't everyone doing it? This is more of a thing of the past, bigger quality sites are what Google loves more than thinner MNS sites.

I think it is kind of what I just suggested. 50 pages is not really thin. I do agree with you 100 percent though. 2 or 3 page sites are not what google likes at all.

In regards to why not everyone is doing it. TAKES EFFORT. Look at all these post on this board. People say omg this takes effort I quit on a daily basis. No one wants to work. They want the pay off but they do not want the work. Either that or they believe that results should be instant and give up after a few months of no profits. This is hilarious as this has been proven that if you stick with something and learn and dominate the eventual reward is worth it. TBH there was a thread on BHW not that long ago someone tried to myth bust a method and end up getting schooled a year later as the method did work and they still make residual income off of said method they just gave up too fast. So that question is flawed from the start. Your question is invalid.

As for a thing of the past yeah old methods work they just need tweaking. This too is constantly proven. Everyday people say oh this can not work because it is a method from 2009 yet with some tweaking guess what it still works. Heck I have even proven that myself. Yet again invalid statement.

Valid statement. Going through my original model that has held true to me before unless adsense has become so horrible most of the income will come from 10 sites or 1000 pages. Yet if adsense has become so horrible there is other options that will be available to me. It is only the easiest not the best I am aware of that. Yes a LOT of hard work indeed. I am not scared of hard work. I never have been. TBH my first 10 mns where making between 40 and 50 a day.

The thing to remember here is that action creates reaction. Especially in this sphere of work. If you are lazy and cheesy your rewards will be minimal at best. If you take action and consume yourself you create action and it is rewarded with a cosmic reaction. I have always found this statement to be true. Until my sites where hit by google I was always proactive and above and ahead of the curve. They provided enough so that I could invest in other opportunities. In some odd way MNS kinda gave me a jumping point to my IM career. Now that my life has reverted I want to return back to which I came. Before it took a year. So I am giving myself the same time frame to do more in the same time to challenge myself.

I am still trying to figure out how this is all going to fit together. As my goal is 250 sites by the end of next year. I can work at work and work when I am off. Meaning I can get back to old me sleeping 4 hours a day or less. As time creeps nearer I can only imagine that my sleep will get less and less. My hope is that by at least month 6 my sites will make enough to at the very least allow me to outsource more. I better hope so anyway.

So to make that kind of income article writing I would have to write about oh idk 50 articles a day or more. Everyday. Yeah no thanks I will pass for starters getting the clientele for that much work is damn near impossible. That is 350 article a week. I'm not interested in finding that many customers. I stated what I was doing and that is what I am doing and no you will not make more and no this is not passive.

I know to some of you this MAY feel like a waste of time. Yet worst the very very worst case scenario when I do hit my goal I will have readily available cash due to the ability to liquidate my assets. So what there is better ways to invest my hard earned money? I can make money via selling the traffic to companies like adsense or CPA offers and sell sites as needed for burst income. There is almost NO learning curve for me as other than the research part in which I hate (keywords) I can handle the rest from selling to writing I can even do website design if needed. This is a great stepping stone. Even if I was a complete 100 percent noob this would be awesome as you learn a lot.

Today has been a busy day at work waiting for my provider to get back to me at the present. So slow day nothing to report haha.

luhasr from the marketplace here. Yes I am going to write all 50 articles myself. As articles if it is a subject I am interested in that is a couple days work. The problem is in that fact that as time goes on and I approach my deadline faster I will have to buy a lot of websites and have to be turning out websites like crazy. There will be no way I will be able to write that many articles so towards the latter half of my journey I will have to outsource and I may have to sell some properties to fund the outsourcing. I can get a writer full time for 350.00 a month. So a few good website sales would fund that and I can focus on buying bulk keyword list and building out the websites myself while the writer writes the articles. This way I will be able to accomplish a lot more in a shorter span of time.

Very interested in your journey. I started something similar in the past but one site really too off so I was only spending time and resources to that one and left the rest drop.

Aww thanks. My problem is grammar. I do know this. I do have a knack for sales and writing. I can churn a sales pitch that makes most writers green with envy. Just ask some of my old business partners. They handled customers I handled the pitch. I am HORRIBLE with customers. The brute in brute marketing is not by accident. Some customers love the old salty brutish guy telling them off and some do not. I can not help it. It is part of my charm. Not personal.

Want to know a secret? I dropped out of Highschool. TBH I only have a 9th grade education. I am too old to go back. I have made a small fortune and I have spent a small fortune. I have made some great business decisions but poor life choices. Getting a job is not the easiest thing. Especially around here. My boss pays me 100 a week plus free rent. That is about 385 a week. Now true it is a motel room yet he looks at that being part of my pay. Not many jobs around here that will be willing to pay me that. NOW a bright side. I have been posting on CL for a roomshare type scenario. 65.00 a week bring your own air matress lol. Now I know what you MAY be thinking who would do that? Rent is CRAZY here. 65.00 and everything is included I mean here that is not really bad.

If my boss would put me back on third shift security I do have a second shift job I work as a stock boy that pays me 25.00 cash daily. Now the thing is I would lose the extra 100.00 I could only work that job 6 days a week which would put me at 150.00 a week. Only 50.00 dollars more a week and I work three times as hard and longer. I am better off getting someone to share my room hell even 50.00 would help.

Okay so I just got my keyword today. However I refused the keyword as I would be competing with 3 VERY well established and well known merchants we are talking billion dollar companies. Those three actually somehow own the whole first page of google almost for said search term. NOT a joke. I am noping myself out of that headache before it starts. It may have been an oversight so going to give this provider the benefit of a doubt but I can assure you for the 1.6k searches this keyword gets a month there is no way it would be profitable enough to take on giants for. I know that some might not know enough to actually look at the searches to determine if the site is competitive. For that I wish the provider did a better job. I do not even need to know the authority but if I see a site like Amazon Ebay Best Buy Home Depot owning the front page and the term gets less than 5k searches a month and under 2.00 a click just not profitable. I do not need to look up the site to see if I CAN outrank it eventually. I already know it is not worth it to try. Now on the other hand same competition and the term received over 20k searches I will definitely spend some time to outrank the MONSTERS.

RULE NUMBER 1 GOOGLE LOVES CORPORATIONS. That is a fact. They have even said they favor corporate ecomerce sites to blogs or a mom and pop type info site. Google is based on ecomerce now. It favors Amazon Ebay and other type sites. It gives more weight to these sites even if the term it is ranking to is irrelevant. Just saying fact is fact. So in some niches and some keywords especially micro niches it is not even worth trying to compete when you see a MONSTER. Keeping it real!

Disclaimer: Sure there may be exceptions to above rule but the overall of google is now based on businesses selling you stuff and they rank people trying to sell you crap. If you are a billion dollar corporation and you create an eCommerce site it is a pretty known fact google will personally call you up and offer you free sex and rank your site for every known keyword out there.

Today I received a keyword while it had a VERY high volume search it was also extremely competitive. It was 9.9k usa searches. I had to compete with Walmart Target Etsy Amazon Ebay. Still not enough searches to really take on a giant for. Yet granted it was the most PERFECT Amazon keyword out there. How ironic right? Amazon sells a type of product and you rank for it and sell them back traffic they where ranking for. Search Engine traffic arbitrage.

I did decline the keyword.

All that being said the advertiser is paying .58 a click for that keyword. His research showed a bit more.
