Hey guys, picking up some domains for a PBN and I found one that hits my niche pretty much dead on the nose. Was a legitimate site 3-4 years ago with some huge backlinks from authority websites that are still live. Great DA(28) and PA(35). It's got 6 or 7 huge backlinks that I would personally love my money site to have, so it seems perfect for a PBN site.

However, for a period of a year this domain was used as a penis enlargement site. The links weren't absolutely blasted to it, but they were definitely built. Moz isn't indicating any sort of spam on the links, but it is completely unrelated to my niche. The penis enlargement website was from a legitimate product.

That being said, is this going to damage the website in any way? I registered it just incase it got picked up but I am hesitant to add it to my network.

But those niche related links are sooooooo damn nice.

In this case the site was already used as a PBN/money site, so there is a higher risk it is flagged by google. I would not buy it at an auction, but I may get it for the registration fee if it dropped, for second tier links or so.

I got it for 99 cents on a 1 year registrar deal. I couldn't pass that up.

What do you suggest doing, putting a wordpress site up,replicating the pages that have the huge links and seeing if it indexs? If it does should be good to go? Or do you think it would actually be more benefical to 301 those links to my money site directly and skip the PBN?

There are still tons of clean domains out there. I would never register so blatantly abused domain. That applies especially if it's not indexed. And even if it is, those domains tend to often be broken goods. Having no effect and so on.

This seems like a good material to case study. :) Anyway before anything else add the domain to GWT console to see if there is manual penalty (plenty of people advice against this, but in this case you dont want to spend efforts on domains with high chance of penalty). If yes, forget about it, not worth trying to fix it. If there is none, create the WP website, recreate the pages with strongest links, let it sit for a while, and then test if the links from this PBN boost ranking against third website (not your money website).

You can add it there no problem, just don't do it with multiple sites within the same account. Problem here is, that even if the domain is indexed, it might be damaged goods. Then there are people crying how PBNs did not work for them. This could be one of the factors.

Yeah I agree, thats why I suggested testing it first before pointing to the money website. Although I would prefer to test domain that only had spam in the content history, not shitty backlinks.

Hey guys, uploaded into search console and no manual penalties are applied to this domain. The domain has about 500 backlinks from 85 referring domains and I would say MAYBE 50 of the backlinks(with about 25 being ********) are related to the penis enhancement. The other 450 are legit niche related backlinks. I'm going to throw a website up, get it indexed and test it out.
