Why is my domain provisioning is pending?

I bought domain and hosting service from hostgator but domain provisioning in pending. What it means? How much time they would take? Should I send ticket to them.

I am worried and looking for serious comments

You need to be asking them, no one is going to have a direct answer for you.

The domain registration process has been stuck. You will need to contact your domain registrar for the provisioning your domain. There might be contact verification issue.

I would contact them first. But my guess is they sent you a verification email that needed to be taken care of.
