Sorry if i have posted in the wrong section :D

So... basically there are these Instagram accounts who post memes and stuff like that and most 95% of them are always private! and they are always giving shoutouts to eachothers. Few things they have in common is that most of them have pretty much same amount of followers between 1m -10m

So what im wondering is are they fake followers they have bought? and later on they are giving shotouts to eachothers to recieve some real audience to keep growing their accs? because this looks intresting to be honest. Most of them have been private for weeks without going public...So what do you guys think about these accounts? Are they making profits from these? or what is the idea behind this?

Here are few of them linked below:

You can check how real they are by looking at the engagement they receive, the amount and quality of likes, comments.

Follow them and see for yourself.

how do you check their engagement %? and it is possible to buy likes & comments pretty cheap anyways..

Just see the average number of likes every post of theirs receives and compare it with the total number of followers they have.

This and also check the accounts, which do the liking, commenting. If those look fake then just by looking at the amount of likes, comments can give you the wrong idea.

Cool but what do you guys think of these accounts linked above? are the followers fake or real.

They keep the accounts private and then shoutout to them posts like "Look at this clip, the rest of it is on that acc blahblah.." and then people become curious and request to follow them, so this way these accs grow very quickly

I think they make some money when someone buys shoutouts from them, for example a small page or a online store

Private account has something really cool.
curiosity is a really nice trigger for people to follow you ;)

Most likely bots. I'd imagine there are some REAL people in there, but my guess those people are just part of the engagement group the account is in.

lol yeh really smart way to get people to follow you though by staying private and then boom go public with 10-20k new followers.

People actually follow private profiles? I NEVER do. If its private I move on. Even years ago. I asked few people I know who use Instagram too, who dont do IM etc, and they said pretty much same thing I did. If its private they don't bother. Only time they will spend the time if its private is if they know the person. Just my 2 cents.

its just for curiosity look at the links i linked above they give shoutouts to eachother by posting eachothers posts and people get curious and send request to follow. To save followers they dont accept right away and maybe wait a week or 2 until they have a certain amount of following requests which they accept at once.

Btw are you watching dragon ball super? My man Goku is on fireee:cool:

YES they are real pages. I'm not understanding where the suspicion is coming from? It's extremely common once you get into the millions to have a massive drop in engagement and followers, because Instagram doesn't favor huge accounts in the algorithm. So many big pages resort to going private and doing SFS with similar pages. It works. Now some people say the quality of the SFS followers is low, because they just follow due to curiosity, but that's a different discussion.
