Multi-Niche or Single Niche Site?

Hey Guys,

I'm starting a new journey thread soon, I have a decent domain with generic anchor texts that could be used to do anything with really.

I have about 4 niche site ideas, all different topics (Appliances, Health, Home, Sports).

Here's my problem, what to do with them.
1. Create one website with 4 sections, one for each niche above and have one huge multi-topic site. Sports link to the sports section, etc.
2. Pick a niche and stick with it, for example, a huge sports blog.

Note: I don't have enough time to make and run 5 niche sites + I don't want to spread my PBN too thin.

How are you planning to monetize these? Something like a huge news site where you sell guest posts might make more sense as a large authority site with many subcategories, whereas something where you're selling different goods (sports good, kitchen appliances, etc.) or something like niche-related eBooks (the $97 trick to win at any sport -- buy now!1!11) might be more successful as separate individual sites with more distinct themes.

Health or sports are huge niches on their own. No need to spread it so much.

I would say to go even deeper and choose a certain sport for instance.

Certainly, not multi though.

That is unless you have big amounts of money and manpower.

But I just assumed that if you have those you wouldn't have to ask

I was primarily going to use a mixture of Amazon affiliation for the product reviews and adsense for more of the guide format reviews.

Think you might be right, I'm leaning more towards multi-niche, but I don't want to waste my time with something that somebody may already know is a really bad idea!

The problem is that I have some much great content from all kinds of niches that have no link to each other, feels like a waste to never use them!

It's a whole different level though..

Better do 4 different domains.. That way you can use your pbn in all four..

You can't solely base huge websites on pbn.. You would need hundreds and it would be a nightmare.. Plus it would cost

You will need to do outreaching etc

It is going to be 10x harder to do that on a multi niche generic domain

Anyway if you ve made up your mind go for it

Single niche, it's better to concentrate on niche specific keywords i would say.

There's a simple rule of thumb here:

Are those niches really close to each other?
Yes - Go with one site
No - Separate sites

No need to complicate this.

Reason for this is, that multiniche sites do not rank that well. The site would be able to rank within each niche, sure, but not as well as it would if it were a single niche site.

Single niche.

Don't spread your contextual relevance all over the place.

Look at what About.com did. They have several different brands now that target individual niches with hyper relevant content.

4 sites with diffent niches work out better in my experience. My multi niches sites usually don't rank that well, unless you have resources to grow it into a big news site.

You have to invest more money to grow multi niche site.Niche sites rank faster and ROI will be good.
