While this is not something that is against Marketplace rules on thread bumping, that seems incredibly dishonest, a way to attempt to circumvent the thread bumping rule, and is something that should likely be brought up in Forum Suggestions and Feedback.

I'm not referring to you breaking the rules or walking a gray area, but instead to sellers who tell users to bump the thread. You've done nothing wrong. I'm curious how this differs from the process that led to that eBay stealth account seller's ban.
