3 most effective:
1. content blog with seo optimize (textlink convert better than banner)
2. Community like social media group, forums and mailing list with the same niche convert effectively
3. Paid promote (so much things to explain on this, most of the marketers burn money without get positive ROI of their campaigns

You can choose a offer target your OWN country , Create a landing page , and purchase a classified ad spot in local news paper,

My guess it's a MMO system, isn't it?
Ideal target are unemployed, household moms, students, fresh graduates.
You can guess where they hang out.

If member should pay some fee, then make sure you reach middle class people. Unemployed, but not penniless.

I think solo ads is the best way to go when you start building subscribers becaue they are good and quality people. so when you promote offers they will buy over and over again. I think udimi is the best place to go.
