I have an old whitehat domain with good links etc.

I have added new pages and trying to rank them, after indexing pages ranking top 25. I'm started to build links mix of exact and generic but can't break into top 10, all the pages get frozen at 10-15 rankings.

I am aiming hard keywords.

Seems it could be overoptimized. What percentage of exact anchors do you have there? What kind of links and how many did you build?

Maybe overoptimized, testing now with only generic anchors, I had like 1-2 exact, 3-4 partial match, and 5-6 generic. All links were really good, homepage links from whitehat domains.
Still trying to find out if its anchors, number of links or how fast I was building them.

Hard to tell without much information, but usually if the on-page is optimized and content all good, then just keep building good backlinks. Have you analyzed the competitors’ backlink profiles btw...

Yes all big players in the industry, all DA 60+, internal pages are ranked without any backlinks.

Yeah, just keep building backlinks then, as don said. And make sure internal linking is solid.

So you also get high DA backlinks..Keep building quality niche related high DA links.

Your keyword is high competition?

High competition because of lots of huge niche players in the industry, I'm building high quality but not niche related links.

The thing is I'm scared to become "black sheep" because of top 20 consists huge domains ( Amazon-like) internal pages with no backlinks, I am ranking 10-20 with around 10 backlinks.

How many links did you get to the moneypage?
Too many links directly to moneypage, freezes in top20-30.
You better build backlinks for 301

As I said 5-15 links to my moneypages. All of them ranked top 10-30. The factor you mentions is what I am worried about.

Seems like you need more good links rather than any optimization, only less than 15 links built judging from your 2nd post.

You have to build niche related contextul links to see improvement if your on page seo is good.

Try to put more diversify manual BL
Then give some time for your page to shopt up to page 1

Your keyword is high competition means you have to build backlinks on high traffic sites and also get traffic from social media sites. Regular content updates with the latest news and optimize the page carefully and promote them.

You raking with 10 backlinks means you can build more powerful backlinks sure it will move up.

To break to the first page, you'll be needing authority links nowadays. Those links from spammy or overspammed sites have 0 authority juice passed to your site, and so far, none of my sites can break to the first page via those links.
In some of my projects, adding links from sites that are TF>25-30 , DA/PA 35-45 would gradually increase the SERP instead, which is a good indication that those type of links are working.

My links are coming from DA 35-50 domains from homepages.

Get quality links and remember that is recommended to stick to this anchor distribution formula:

45% - naked
30% - branded
14% - generic
6% - keyword
5% - others - LSI, long-tailed etc.
