Question About How to Setup A bot with VPS

I am a little confused as how the whole botting with a vps works. I thought a VPS was just for hosting a website. Pls help a noob out.

Do you need Linux Server or Windows? So it depends. VPS can be installed with Linux, Windows or any other OS. So there is 100% possibility of installing your Applications.

vps is just using another persons computer. you can do anything you want. whether its host a site, run software, or just surf the internet. it's not a money printing machine by itself.
what bot will you use? does it run on linux or windows? rent a vps with OS & hardware according to bot specifications. they'll give you login credentials and you will log in to their computer. then set up the bot just like you would on your office computer.

In that case get a windows vps. They'll give you an IP/user/pass to login via Remote Desktop Connection (RDP). After you log in, set up your bot and you're done.
